How far would you go to protect the one you love?

The terrors of Colin’s past are revealed and accepted by Natalie. Her doubts about letting him into her life are finally disbanded and replaced by a sense of security and commitment. But Natalie doesn’t know that Colin’s past hides more dark secrets unknown even to him.

When a delusional psychopath threatens Colin’s life, things quickly become complicated. Natalie’s stubborn character and desire to kick ass won’t let her step aside and allow the authorities to handle the danger. She gets herself tangled up with street hoodlums, befriends a Russian mobster’s high-maintenance girlfriend, and becomes expert at picking locks and hiding evidence.

**This contemporary romantic comedy/mystery blends humor and sensuality with enough thriller elements to make you clutch the pages with terror. The offbeat characters and witty dialogue from Almost Matched are here to stay.

**Warning: contains sexual situations, profanity, and a high dose of sarcasm. Oh, and the appletini is still the drink of choice.
May not be appropriate for readers under 18 years old. Not intended for prigs and sourpusses who get easily affronted**

The Almost Bad Boys series are the stories of four feisty twenty-something women who refuse to let their past drag them down.

***The books in the Almost Bad Boys series are best read in order. They are not stand-alone books, although these are three different stories/no cliffhangers:

Almost Matched (book 1)
Almost Broken Up (book 2)
Almost Too Far (book 3)***

Wow. Almost Broken Up starts with Colin’s POV, and it’s very emotional. Natalie and Colin’s relationship is evolving, and they are closer than ever. But Natalie and her girlfriends are joined by Svetlana, a quirky and hilarious character, and she means trouble. There’s never a dull moment with this gang, and I was laughing the whole way. Of course, the love story is front and center, and the steamy ending is very…satisfying. ;-) More!

Almost Broken Up (Almost a Bad Boy 2) is a fun romp, filled with sex, witty banter, sex, a Russian mobster’s moll, sex, a scary/creepy/stalkery guy, and sex. It is smartly written, laugh out loud fun from beginning to end. While we discover more about why Colin has anxiety attacks, I expected this book to be more about the issues within his and Natalie’s relationship. That is largely overlooked – other than the fact that they often have over-the-top, creamin’ hot sex! No, this story is more about the craziness that revolves around their relationship. Who is the scary tattooed man shooting ugly looks at, and seemingly stalking Natalie? Just where does a Russian mobsters girlfriend fit into the picture? Will Colin and Natalie’s relationship weather the storms swirling around them? I’m not telling! Find out for yourself. Grab a copy, sit down, and spend some time with Colin and Natalie – it’s time spent you won’t regret.

Just when everything seems getting okay with our two love-birds, there’s a stalker that threatens Colin’s life. And Natalie’s stubbornness wouldn’t allow her to step aside and let the proper authorities handle the danger. She meets someone unexpectedly, a Russian mobster’s hot girlfriend – Svetlana. She was the biggest surprise in this novel, and at first, I wasn’t really sure whether to trust her or not. But she helped Natalie with some problems, and even, in a way, saved her life – so she got major points for it. The big danger – it was the twist I didn’t see coming. A little sick, a little startling, and a little dangerous – I was waiting for what will he be doing to our main characters, and when it finally came, Jena just dampen all my adrenaline rush and had me laughing with her antics. OMG. My rush seemed to have transferred to her.     I think I enjoyed the second book more – because 1) it opened with Colin’s past, and finally I understood what happened in the near end of Almost Matched. 2) It is more action-packed with surprising twists, 3) a lot of jaw-dropping scenes that had me really laughing 4) steamier – from the first chapter down to the very last – COLIN, YUMMY! If I loved this second book more – my expectations just went high for the third book in the series! :D ¿Complimentary Copy was given in exchange for an honest review.¿

ition) Almost Broken Up by A. O. Peart Rating 5***** Natalie and Colin's story is just beginning. Finally admitting to each other that there is so much more than simple infatuation, it is time to enter the honeymoon period. Only this period is anything but smoother sailing. A leather bound stalker, the Russian mafia, and a past that won't leave sure has other ideas for the couple. Once again the humor in this book makes you seriously laugh out loud. The girls can get into just about anything just by walking down the street! Brash humor abounds, impromptu B&E, and all sorts of mischief jus keeps you reading. Colin has to be the sweetest naughty man ever! You can't help but drool a little when he comes around. I have to say that I have enjoyed this series so much. It has a great flow and within the first few pages you are simply hooked. So many series start off well and by the second book it seems you are simply rereading the first novel, this doesn't apply here. I laughty till I cried at parts! I read in mental pictures so it made it all the more hysterical for me. I will say that if off color humor offends you then this isn't the book for you, but it was a perfect fit for me lol. Overall, a great read! I would recommend this series to mature readers 18+ who have a sense of humor, love steamy scenes, and are fascinated by the Russian mafia (lol ) I can't wait to see which one of our meddlesome foursome has her story told next!!!! I received an ARC of this book to review I highly, highly, highly recommend you get the first book Almost Matched and read it before reading this second book. You really need to know what happened in the first to truly understand what's going on in this one and why things go the way they do. 18+ recommended for this book. Must have a sense of humor and cannot be prudish! Come on people you know before you get it whats in it so no bashing because you don't like this genre!!! Okay all formalities aside here we go! This books starts right where Almost Matched left off. No cliff hangers, just the next chapter in their lives! Things seem to be settling down for Natalie and Colin. They are meshing well in each others lives and trusting each other but all is not as it seems because out of the blue a tattooed psychopath who has a fondness for blades begins messing with their lives with threats, assaults, and stalking. Neither Natalie nor Colin know who he is why he's doing it. Natalie has finally realized and accepted that Colin is her future and though timid and distrustful in the beginning of their relationship, she refuses to back down and let anyone hurt her man. Throw in some steamy moments, breaking and entering, pet kidnapping, a Russian mob Princess, and Russian mob goons with a penchant for wanting to off someone and you have one hell of a ride. Get your fans ladies cuz it gets H.O.T! So, how far would you go to save your man???

Writing Style: The same addictive writing as the first book, you will gobble Almost Broken Up in one sitting. You will curse your eyes for not being able to read quicker. My Opinion: Just when I thought Natalie has done it all, she goes and gets herself dragged into more crazy cahoots. This girl can get herself into some interesting and unbelievable pediments! I thought only insane situations happened to me and my best girlfriend, but it's safe to say Natalie and Ali have the same issue. It's like the crazy just follows them around and it makes for one hell of a hilarious read. This book definitely takes on a more darkish tone. I found myself terrified for Natalie multiple times and seriously felt my heart stop due to the constant drama. Colin's story alone will grasp you in ways you could never imagine and shatter your heart into millions of tiny pieces. So not only will this book stop your damn heart it will give it a jump start too. (In various ways of course, hehe) The steam factor in this book has also been jolted up a bit. You may want to have a portable fan nearby to help with the hot flashes. If no fan is available, read near open windows. If it's hot where you live and opening a window just won't help cool you down, opt for a squirt bottle filled with icy water. Or hell maybe read in the bathroom so you can be near the shower, because whew the sex scenes are sultry. To read or not to read: I SAY STOP WHATEVER YOUR DOING AND BUY THIS BOOK THE DAY IT RELEASES. WHILE YOU’RE AT IT, PICK UP A COPY OF ALMOST MATCHED RIGHT NOW, SO YOU WILL BE FULLY PREPARED.(less)

This time, we are traveled to Colin's past about the fate of Faith. Yes, it was chaotic because things happened too fast and we would do anything to prevent an accident or tragedy which Colin tried to do and failed which led him to live in Seattle with his two important people of his life. Fast forward to the present, Nat and Colin were getting ready for a dance date which took a while because of how Natalie looked to Colin. Things didn't go as plan because Nat got attacked by a man named Razor while taking a fresh air from the bar which led to Nat and Ali meeting a Russian girl who was trying to find her cat the next day or so. It was a crazy situation that led to another crazy situation and towards the end, Colin is back and finally having Natalie all to himself. Who knows what the next and final book has in store?

Almost Broken Up is a good read full of surprises. We get to see exactly what Colin went through and what led to Faith’s death. Colin and Natalie are moving forward but there is someone who wants revenge for what happened to Faith. Natalie life is threatened and things get even crazier when she runs into Svetlana. Svetlana, Natalie and Ali will definitely make you laugh and when it comes to a night out, they sure know how to go all out. This book definitely has mystery, suspense and steamy sex scenes that will leave you wanting more.

A little bit of comedy, a little bit of crazy scary, and sex and romance. This is a great continuation of the first book. This story hit some points that many people face and showed their can still be happy endings, even when it looks as if your life has hit its lowest point. When Colin felt he failed, he still managed to eventually get his happy life at last. And what courage and strength it took for one girl, Colin's girl, to stand up and face adversity. And what more but to stand up in defense of her man. She is strong and very admirable. Perhaps the one thing I liked most about this book is the vunerability we saw in Razor. We don't often see that side of a man and it was so refreshing to see they have that side to them as well. Thank you for sharing your story with us A.O. Peart

RATING 4.5 After reading Almost Matched I was eager to start Almost Broken Up as I wanted to see exactly which the direction the author was planning to take with this series. Before I go any further, I must admit that I found this to be a more entertaining read than Almost Matched. My judgement may be a bit biased in his instance due to my love of stories that have an element of suspense and drama. Almost Broken Up started out with Collin’s POV, which gives readers an insight as to the guilt that Collin has been living with since that fateful night when his former girlfriend was killed in a motor vehicle accident. It made Collin appear more human and it made it easier for me to connect with him. Almost Broken Up does is not so much about the relationship between Natalie and Collin but more about the lengths that Natalie will go through to protect her man. Two new characters were introduced, one of whom will pose a threat to Natalie’s relationship with Collin and one who will offer her help in dealing with this threat. There were moments when I questioned Natalie’s sanity, especially when she made the decision to face the person who had threatened Collin’s life. I say this because it was clear that this person was absolutely crazy. But I guess when you are in love and you have faith in your partner’s innocence, then you will be willing to face any situation no matter how dangerous to protect him. It also helps when you have the girlfriend of a mob boss helping you out. There were several LOL moments. I found it to be rather hilarious, especially that scene where Natalie, Ali and her new found friend, Svetlana, engaged in a little B&E. I am not going to say much about this as I don’t want to give the story away. To find out what I am speaking about you will have to get a copy for yourself. The sex scenes between Natalie and Collin was quite erotic. It’s definitely not for the feint of heart. The author’s writing style is quite engaging as it pulls the reader in and makes them feel as if they are a part of the story. Overall this was an enjoyable read. Recommended for readers 18+ DISCLOSURE I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

I received a gifted copy from the author in exchange for my honest review.  'The book starts off with Colins past. Its a very sad story of how faith dies.  Natalie and Colins love life is going great. Until someone from Colins shows up. Razor scares Natalie at the club, then when Colin leaves for a business trip. Razor comes back and really scares Natalie. Earlier that night Natalie goes out with Ali, They end up meeting Svetlana who gets Natalie and Ali in a bizaree situation. Natalie calls Svetlana when Razor calls and is scaring Natalie. So they meet up and it gets very interesting. You understand more of what happened to Faith and her family life. Colin comes back from his business trip and Natalie tells him all about her adventure. This is really a good read, I can't wait for book 3.

Getting Tangled Up ... She's doin' it right! I read this on January 24, 2014 "How far would you go to protect the one you love?" ... that line had my attention from the start. You know that moment when you are screaming in your head "Are you really about to do that? WHAT are you thinking!?!" Yep...that just happened! Then I realized every suspenseful movie or book I have ever enjoyed has had such moments. I always love a good adventure, & this was definitely an adventure! Suspense, mystery, comedy, steamy scenes, & an intriguing story line made for a wonderful night's read. I mean how could the love of your life being threatened, getting up close & personal with The Mafia, & having to make split second decisions go wrong? After opening up this book I did not put it down until those final words... The End.

book 2 in the Almost Bad Boys series was another great read. This was a little crazy but crazy in a good way if that makes sense. This had a little dark twist to it then the 1st book but i loved it just the same.  In this book you get a good glimpse into Colin's past with his demons i guess you could say. I felt bad for the things he went through. He opens up to  Natalie in doing so pretty much makes her more secure in their relationship.  Then something else happens and it makes her have doubts.  This has alot of humor in it as well. a little mix of different things to draw you in and get you stuck. Its funny, Sexy as hell, a little creepy and add in the Russian Mob and its hell of an entertaining story! Also a must read im telling you stop what you are reading and give these books a try!!!

This book is amazing!! Once I started it I could not put it down, the house could have went on fire and I wouldn't have cared!! This book continues on from Almost matched but there's a lot more surprise's in it (mafia!!) I don't want to give anything away but I guarantee once you start reading you won't put the book down so I suggest you go somewhere with no distractions!! I can't wait for book #3 :)

This was a very well written story. Got a little crazy and far-fetched for a bit, but it was all good. That far-fetched section made for great humor in the book and lightened up the story. This book again features Natalie and and Colin. Although, this book is most Natalie and little Colin. We only see Ali and a grimace of Jena, Natalie's friends, but we meet a new character Svetlana. I liked Svetlana, she was quite the character. Ms. Peart had me very captured from Chapter one all the way through to the end. I didn't even realize I was at the end, until I read the words "The End" and my screen wouldn't move to the next page!! This is the second book in the series, I have enjoyed both books; this is shaping up to be a great series!

Almost Broken Up is the Second book in A.O Peart’s Almost Bad Boys Series, it is highly recommended that you read Almost Matched before beginning this one as it’s a continuation of Colin and Natalie’s story. If you loved Almost Matched, or even relatively liked it, I suggest you read this one. I loved the first book but A.B.U is leaps and bounds better.  Colin’s demons come out in this story as he fights for his love Natalie. Their bond becomes stronger every second, their love breathing through every page. Colin has a slightly harsher edge to him in this installment, possessive and domineering on occasions. His inner cave-man is brought out when Natalie’s life is threatened. Natalie is up to no good once again, or shall I say, no good is up to her? When her group of friends get together, s*** is always bound to happen.  Almost Broken Up is hot and hilarious. It will have you continuously turning the pages in order to find out what will happen next to these crazy people. Angela delivers another stunning book that you will not want to miss.

I loved how this starts off with Colin’s POV and we get a history of his background with Faith and what happened right before and leading up to when Faith died. I am soooo glad this was included in Book 2 because after the bomb dropped from book one I really wanted to read more on the issue. Colin and Natalie are going HOT and I do mean HOT and heavy!!! WOWZERS!!! But, now that they are finally getting to a point of being happy some strange tattooed guy named Razor shows up and freaks Natalie out. He is from the past and wants her to warn Colin that he is back and will pay for what he did to ‘HER’. That took us on an adventure that I really wasn’t expecting and had you wandering what kind of crazy psycho this guy truly was. Also, Natalie and Ali end up making a new friend which opened a whole new door of craziness!!! Although their new friend did come in handy when needed against crazy psycho stalkers!!! But, to be honest… I wouldn’t have done half the things those girls got themselves into! I loved Ali’s character though! She was a hoot especially when she was talking with the escort. There wasn’t really a cliffhanger at the end of this novel but it was action packed and was entertaining from beginning to end!

*This is a Review of ALL 3 books since it is one continuous story* I don’t read novella series too often but I’m so glad I read this one. I read all 3 in one evening. I was in tears from laughing many times and then other times I would be swooning over Colin’s sweetness to Natalie or fanning myself during one of the many steamy sex scenes. Colin and Natalie mesh together perfectly. They compliment each other really well. Natalie keeps Colin grounded (and I think entertained). She is sweet but also has a feisty side. This comes out most when she is with her girlfriends. Those women had my laughing so many times. Their antics and the dilemmas Natalie gets into just had me rolling and doing a lot of “OMG!” Colin is successful, sexy, sweet, protective, and a little but of an alpha male at times. The personalities of all of the characters were individual yet meshed well together and I could easily picture their group in real life. The characters were really great to read about. The story line was interesting and I was easily engrossed from the very beginning of the first book. The story flowed smoothly and had plenty going on in each novella to keep anyone interested without overwhelming the reader. The books were wonderful to read and I would totally NOT object to reading more books in the series. Excellent work and a 5 out of 5 stars!

The story of Natalie and Colin continues in Almost Broken Up, book two of the Bad Boys series by A.O. Peart. Okay, I’m going to admit, this one had me completely confused for a vast portion of the story. Colin is away on business, and Natalie and her friends get into outrageous predicaments that had me laughing and just shaking my head in disbelief at the incredulity of it all. I just kept trying to figure out the purpose of the series of uncanny events, one right after the other. The dialogue between Natalie, Ali, Jena, and Caroline is uproariously funny, but even more than that, they have the kind of friendship every woman should have – someone who has your back, no matter what kind of a fix you manage to get yourself into. There’s no judgment among these friends, just support, regardless of the fiasco. These women would go to the mat for each other (and they practically do). Almost Broken Up is a series of “what the heck” and “who the hell” that kept me turning pages until the sweet and sexy ending. Oh, and by the way, I DO now understand the purpose of it all. What a creative way to weave in a back story! 3-1/2 amusing stars.

Awesome!! This is the second book in this series, and I have to say this one is just as good as the first one, it not better. You really need to read these books in order, so that you can get the foundation of the story. I love Natalie and her crazy friends, and it makes me feel like I am right there with them while reading this book.  The book picks up with Colin’s point of view and his heartache of losing Faith. Natalie and Colin are trying to move forward in their relationship and she is trying to help him move on from his grief. Natalie and Ali meet Svetlana, a Russian mobster’s girlfriend. Svetlana asks Natalie and Ali to help her which leads to a crazy adventure. Then someone named Razor starts threatening Colin, so Natalie calls in Svetlana, and her Russian thugs show up to help. This book is so entertaining; I stayed up all night reading it. This book has is all, hot steamy sex, humor, adventure, and interesting statues. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

I was given this book by author A.O. Peart for an honest review. This book is book 2 of the Almost Bad Boys series by the author. Now that Natalie and Colin are a couple Colin is still haunted by his girlfriend Faith. Natalie and Ali get themselves a new friend who seems to have connections with a so called mob's girlfriend. There is more drama in this book then in the first but also more romance. I can not say anything bad about this second book at all. The story line and the characters all work well together and there are no rough spots in the story.  This book is a good read for mature romance readers because of some sexual content and who like a little action with their love. This would be a good stand alone book and I can not wait to see if there is a book 3 by this author.

As with the first book in the Almost series, AO did not disappoint her readers. In the second book the story continues to follow the relationship between Natalie and Colin while telling of other adventures and escapades that Natalie and her friends get into trying to be helpful. To the already hodge podge of female friends another is introduced and added to the group through a side-gripping and suspenseful adventure. While the relationship of Colin and Natalie is full of love and hot, steamy sex, Colin's troubled past sneaks in to threaten to tear them apart. Can Natalie let this happen after finally finding the man of her dreams? You will have to read to find out. In the mean time I am anxiously awaiting the third book in the Almost Series......

If you have read the first book then this one is a must read to continue to see where the road takes these two-Natalie and Colin. She sure knows how to hook and bait leave you hanging so you do have to follow through. In this one it is totally revealed what actually went down with Colin and Faith the baggage he carries around. But also there is someone else who contacts Natalie in a not so nice way to let her know he is coming for Colin. She also meets this crazy girl in here and her and one of her friends help her and they turn out to have quite a adventure that evening. In turn though she gets help from her also when needed. Gee lots can happen when your man steps out of town for a bit ha ha. So the awesome writing style this author has given in first one continues on in this one and do believe even better. Love the touch of mystery and intrigue that is added. The characters have even grown more so in here and now enlightened more on them with just as much heat as before. Do love how she turns the tables on Razor and talks the sense right into him, but what will Colin think of all this? But my oh my does this author have mercy on us readers-no way she keeps us hooked and dangling, tortured waiting for the next one and sweet torture it is. Received a arc for a honest review.
