Overview

After a very satisfying long-distance relationship (following their very public relationship in Almost Romance), Kate Lewis and Ian Furnukle agree it's time to get hitched.

Except their jobs are thousands of miles apart.

And their trial run of living together didn't go so well.

And one of them has cold feet.

But that's nothing that true love (and some explosive chemistry) can't fix. If only love were a science.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Each book in the Clover Park STUDS series can be read as a stand-alone novel, except for Ian & Kate, who are much more fun to read in order. Ian & Kate first appear in Almost in Love, have a Happy-For-Now experience in Almost Romance, and find their Happy-Ever-After in Almost Hitched. No cliffhangers! Each story has a satisfying tender ending.

I adored this book! Ian and Kate worked so well together, even though she was way too formal and controlling at times. Ian being so laid back just it all in his stride, knowing exactly why Kate was the way she had always been. At first, Kate did annoy me with her constant judging of Ian's ways, but a little further along in the book, you see how things get turned around and it makes you love her for it. Kylie has that special way of making you want to turn the page in hopes of seeing the characters redeem themselves, and she never disappoints. This was a great book, an excellent match between two completely different characters, and made me both laugh and cry along with them. I always look forward to reading a Kylie Gilmore book, knowing I'm going to get a great story with top quality writing.

Kate Lewis and Ian Furnukle what a couple. If you are bored of your typical romance formula (boy meets girl, boy proposes to girl, boy and girl get married and have a happy life) than this couple is for you. Their romance spans three stories in the Clover Park Studs series and begins in the very first one. Two very head strong soles that did romance their way.. LOL Kate and Ian are by far my favorite couple of the year. They are so fun to read about and make my day just by being them. At this point I truly believe that if anyone could boil down Love to a science it would be Kate. These two are to much fun to pass up. Looking forward to seeing when the last Furnukle brother falls.

Almost Hitched, by Kylie Gilmore, is the continuation of Ian Furnukle and Kate Lewis' story that began in Almost Romance. Ian and Kate finally decide to take their long distance relationship to the next level. However, they soon learn that living together isn't as easy as they first thought. Added to that is the fact that their careers are taking them in two different directions. Ian and Kate quickly realize that they have some tough decisions to make. Almost Hitched is a perfect addition to Ms. Gilmore's Clover Park STUDS series. It is a lighthearted and fun romance that gives Ian and Kate the happily ever after that we've been waiting for.

Talk about scientific chemistry. Yeah Kate and Ian have it in spades with all their minkey business. Kate put Ian through the ringer but in the end he proved to be the romantic that I knew was in his blood. I have to admit my nervousness kicked it and I doubt this would be the HEA, I was promised but the understanding had to be showcased and not just with Ian and Kate. Kate got her answers to the experimental theory in which she complies from data while researching but what she didn't plan on was the inconclusiveness the answer will produce. That also includes her strained relationship with her mother. This was a little slow moving from yhe other books but it showcased the passion within two Drs. to get to a place that short circuit them both.

Almost Hilarious? No way. Absolutely, a lot of the time, this book is hilarious. I love Kate the physicist who is way too smart to get out of her own way and totally misses basic social cues as well as Ian, the man who loves her and knows how to short-circuit her brilliant mind, allowing her libido to take over. Their’s is a funny, sexy, emotional relationship and the author had me laughing and crying. If you want fun in your romance, I highly recommend Almost Hitched. (And then make sure to read my all time favorite book from Kylie Gilmore, Not My Romeo.)

A perfect ending for these two! As usual, Kylie wrote a phenomenal book. The balance of emotion, humor and hotness was absolutely fantastic, and I am THRILLED that she will be writing a new series!!! I was so happy reading this because I first met Kate and Ian in book 1 of the STUDS series, and I loved reading how they finally got their Happily Ever After. (While reading book 1 isn't necessary to understand this one, I really enjoyed knowing their background together). Kate was a very interesting character because she took a very analytical approach to relationships; tried to make something objective out of a purely subjective topic. Seeing her struggles and revelations were comical at times but always very endearing. Ian almost had me in tears towards the end (no spoilers!). His laid-back-ness was a perfect foil to Kate, and I loved reading his complete acceptance of her and his fierce determination to keep her. All in all, another amazing contemporary romance written by an amazing author and I can't wait for the next amazing book!!! ***I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

Ian and Kate are back to bring their unconventional and at times awkward love story to a hilarious conclusion. Almost Hitched is the adorable companion to Almost Romance. Time and distance are still a road block for these love birds. Add in commitment and co- habitation, the mishaps get bigger and funnier. Kylie Gilmore, has so much fun developing her characters. Her witty dialogue and eclectic characters are evidence. Almost Hitched is a chance to revisit great characters and discover new friends in a world that is full of humor and heart.
