You know what I liked the best about this book? It was completely different from any romance I've ever read (and I've read a lot!). The hero is nice looking and fit, but that's where the similarities to standard romance heroes ends. Barry is pretty dorky at first--lovable but dorky. I mean, the man dresses up as a cow and dances a jig, thinking the woman he's attracted to will like it. She doesn't, LOL. But his charm, his sweetness and the fact that he's a genuinely good guy (not to mention an amazing kisser), finally wins the hot girl next door. This book is just so damn likable.

Author Kylie Gilmore has done it again! Barry of STUD UNLEASHED is not the kind of guy I think she or anyone could make me fall for, but I have to tell you how much I love Barry. Poor, completely geeky, but full-on adorable Barry. He at first seemed a very unlikely candidate to be considered a stud, but he proved he had the chops, and the determined romantic heart to do what it took to win Amber, the woman of his dreams. I'm very excited to read Kylie's new Clover Park STUDS series if this is just a taste of what's in store. Amber, couldn't help liking Barry too, but it took her awhile to see that he could also be the man for her and not just a friend. Amber and Barry's story has a cast of characters that were quirky, adorable and added so much fun to the story as Barry worked his way into Amber's heart. LOVED this story and am sold on the series!! 4.5 stars ~complimentary copy received in exchange for a honest review.

HOLY SMOKES!!!!!! I absolutely LOVED IT!!! First of all, this was one SCORCHING HOT read. I wasn't sure what to expect in that regard after reading the first couple chapters, but just like the moral of the story, one never knows where hotness may linger.  The narration was wonderful! The whole story read so smoothly, and there was never a dull part. The dialogue was very believable and the details of the settings, emotions, etc. made it easy to put myself in the story. Kylie inserted humor in perfect increments and I laughed out loud many times, right from the beginning. The conflict was pretty low-stress, which was fitting given the light-hearted nature of the story.  This was not the first Kylie book I have read, and this will DEFINITELY not be the last. Her books have kept me thoroughly entertained on many levels, and I love spending my time reading her work. If the epilogue was any indication of what the next book will be about, then it was a perfect set-up and I am dying to read it!!! ***I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

The first 3 chapters read like a comedy.  By the fourth chapter the real romance started to blossom.  I really felt sorry for Barry.  He wasn't bad looking, he had a killer body but his geekiness showed like a beacon in the night.  He had no idea how to date and I'm surprised Amber even gave him a second chance.  I guess opposites attract.  Barry never gave up.  I think it was his brother that saved him. Remember the three C's?  For some there is that instant attraction and for others it starts as a friendship and grows from there.  That was the case for Amber.  Her and Barry were friends and her attraction grew from that and his 6-pack abs and 2-pack butt.  All in all this was a fun and entertaining read.  I can't wait to see what's next for this talented author. Loved everything about this book, the characters, the storyline, the writing style. At around 180 pages on my Nook, the perfect read for a day. Lots of sex and some colorful language but it's all a perfect fit for the story and the people. Read and enjoy.

This could have been a four or five star book if the continuous sex scenes and the demeaning sex on command premise were left out. The characters were well-developed and the main storyline was interesting but when you find yourself skipping blocks of pages to avoid repetitive sex scenes it becomes hard to continue reading. If Fifty Shades is your cup of tea, then you may like this book.

I only gave it 3 stars because of the constant sex, sex, sex. Sorry I don't think real people walk around with woodies 24/7, 365 days of the year & to hold onto her with his fiingers up inside of her, yuk. It could have been a great read without that picture in my mind. I loved the other 3 books I read prior to this. Daisy's story being one of them. 198 pages. GJRA

This was my first book by Kylie Gilmore; I received a copy from her in exchange for my honest review. I love books where the characters are mostly just every day, ordinary people. Barry has always been the underdog. He's not athletic and has always been kind of nerdy. When he meets his new neighbor, Amber, he falls hard for her - but she has a boyfriend. Amber has issues from her past that she hasn't really dealt with. Their path to happiness is rocky and kept me wanting to finish the book quickly so I could find out how things turn out. The book is at times humorous and other times serious. I really enjoyed reading it.

Take a nerdy computer geek who has become rich from an app he created moving into a new apartment and almost instantly falling in love with his neighbor across the hall. From his past experiences with women he feels that he has to change his appearance and come on to her in a more manly way than the geeky computer expert. Their first couple of dates turn into disasters because of his interests clashing with hers. With the help of an exercise DVD and the lead role in a play being presented by the community theater group he sees a change in her attraction to him. When he puts on his pirate costume he becomes more manly and controlling. He uses this to win her over though there are some bumps in the road toward their forever happiness that awaits them. The story is interesting because of what Barry goes through to win Amber over to his side. He is captivated by her art work and secretly purchases some of her works to encourage her. He works to get in shape so that he will be more attractive to her. When impressing her with his silliness and happy go luckiness does not work he tries becoming more demanding and controlling which his role in the play helps him create. Amber, on her part, is not sure of the guy across the hall. Yes he likes her art but he is sort of geeky and weird with the speaker on top of his vehicle and the cow suit. But there is an attraction there and when he becomes more confident and other women become interested her interests increase. They just have to get over a couple of obstacles in their way. A very good read, The characters are well developed and the story line is excellent. It is a story that shows how two people fall in love even with difficulties standing between them. It may have started out as lust at first sight but the love grows as they get to know each other more. I look forward to other stories in this series. A job well done.
