I knew one day she’d come looking for answers, I just didn’t expect that day to be today. Hell, I wasn’t any more ready now than I had been six years ago. But here she was asking questions about something she knew nothing about. About people she knew nothing about.
I used that term loosely. We were monsters, all of us. Killers. And she sought out the most heinous of all: me.
Aria Hale came with questions, questions to which only I had the answers, and she had every right to know the truth. But that didn’t mean I’d give it to her. In fact, I’d do whatever it took to keep her from ever finding out what really happened that night.
I could live with blood on my hands, but I couldn’t live knowing she hated me.
And if she ever did find out, she would hate me.
I guess he thought I’d leave the past alone. Let it die its miserable death. He didn’t know me very well though.
Six years had passed since the night my life changed forever. The night I lost everything. Six long years since the only man who had any answers at all disappeared. Zane Von was the key to avenging what had happened that night. To understanding why they died and I didn’t.
Neither of us knew it then, but that night, our lives were bound together irrevocably, whether he liked it or not. If he thought I’d walk away, turn my back on my past, well, then he didn't know me.
Please note: Alpha is a dark paranormal (shapeshifter) romance intended for mature readers. It is a complete story. No cliffhanger.

From the cover alone I knew I wanted to read this. I knew I wanted more from Zane and Aria. There was an air of mystery surrounding Alpha just from the synopsis. Aria goes looking for Zane to get more answers about that night. That horrible night that left her without her family and the one man she truly loved. Zane, the bad. The Alpha. The man wrapped in secrets left that life behind him. He always knew that someday Aria would come looking for him, searching for the truth but sometimes it's the lies we tell ourselves that keeps us strong. I have been an avid Knight fan since I started reviewing three years ago. In her newer novels, she has taken a darker more edgier twist. There has been suspense, love, danger, and of course a red bottom or two. I was grabbed from the start and knew I wouldn't put this down until I knew Zane and Aria's future.
It grabbed me right from the beginning and never let go until I reached the end of the story. And who in the world could resist the gorgeous hunk on the cover? That alone had me wanting to dive in between the pages. I needed to know more about Zane, the man, the shifter. Dark, dangerous, bold he is a man unlike any other. He is a man with a troubled past, consumed by guilt, rage but one can only run so far before their past catches up to them. Aria, the innocent young girl left behind all alone. Her family gone except for an absentee grandfather who is determined to protect her no matter the cost or length he must go to, to do so. But Aria seeks answers to the past that her and Zane share and he is the only one who can give them to her. I’ve read Natasha’s stories before and this is the first one that I can honestly say I have fallen in love with reading. The edginess, the darker side of life in full bloom made me hunger for more. And the fact that it breathed a life of its own had me hooked even more into the twist and turns that was Aria’s and Zane’s tale. I laughed, I cried, I cheered for Aria and Zane even when you might think it was undeserving. These characters were bold, alive and in your face. Nothing was held back in the telling of this story and the sex scorched the pages. Natasha I was a fan before your shifters but now I am hooked and want more of these kind of stories. Please don't stop writing them.
