I started the series with Alvin's Farm and read all three first books within a week. I love the author's cadence and style, but so far I am disappointed and confused abiut Book Four. I'm on page 25 and the author has introduced so many new characters (I realize that she skipped about 15 years) that I can't keep up and my head is spinning. If I can't get past this I may have to quit the series. :(
