Maureen Evans has had a crush on Smith Harrington since they were in college together. She always knew he didn't see her as anything more than his best friend—just one of the guys—but that didn't stop her from weaving sexy fantasies about him.

Now, after years of maintaining a long-distance friendship, Smith's moving to Burton, Georgia, Maureen's hometown, to become her partner at the veterinary clinic. After all this time, she should be able to handle working with him without getting hot and bothered.

Or maybe not.

The more determined Maureen is to maintain their just-friends bond, the more Smith seems intent on testing those boundaries. And when flirting crosses the line into something more, it ends in a night neither of them can forget.

When friendship is no longer enough, there's always love.

Maureen Evans has had a crush on Smith Harrington since they were at uni together.  But throughout the years she knew he never saw her as anything more than his best friend and that was better than nothing. So a friend she stayed despite her longings.  She set up the veterinary practice and now Smith is moving to her to be her partner in the vets.  How is Maureen going to keep her feelings a secret when he is so close??  The problem though is that Smith has loved her all these years too and now he has waited too long and must find out if he has a chance of happiness with Maureen?  The chemistry between them is like a fireworks display but they just can;'t seem to see it themselves.  It was fun to read how her family and friends offer advice to Smith on how to win her heart. Such a warm and loving story that is a real feel good factor to this living story. So well written  by Tawdra and I loved how she developed her characters and 'played' with them and had so much fun in them finding love and a HEA with each other.  I'm definitely a fan now and will be devouring her other books too.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Heart warming love story. Maureen and Smith's romance was well written, and enjoyable to read. Two college friends, who secretly love the other, but can't seem to be honest with the other. Maureen moved back to her home town to take over the Veterinarians office. She invites Smith to live in the apartment above hers and share in the practice. Will they finally face and act on their feelings for one another? Read and find out to see if they have their HEA. Story easily followed, and was a standalone read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This books' romance level is off the charts. I could not put it down once I got into it. The story line is something that is so realistic that it just pulls you in.

Maureen and Smith met on their first day of college. They fought against the love they felt for each other, for fear of ruining their friendship. Their roommates and friends felt the love they had for each other and tried to convince them to tell each but the fear of rejection always won. Maureen was from a small town and has always been unsure of herself. Smith was from a big city and had a very confident personality. After college the two went their separate ways to start their work as vets. When years later Maureen gets her own practice and wants a partner, who does she call but Smith. And, with the help that Smith gets from her friends the story heats up. Their ups and downs makes you keep reading to see what happens next. Keeping me wondering if will they ever get together and have a relationship despite Maureen fight against it. I loved this book and can't wait to read the rest of the series. 4 beautiful stars.

Smith and Mureen meet their freshmen year in college. They both harbored secret crushes on the other one throughout all of their 4 years. That entire time they kept themselves safely in the “friends” zone. Now 10 years later, Mureen has bought a house and a vet practice in her hometown in Georgia. She is looking for another veterinarian to co-own with her. Smith jumps on the opportunity to rekindle their “friendship” and try to start a new life. Their spark of chemistry and love for one another isn’t at all hidden from everyone around them, but Smith and Mureen are stuck only thinking that the other one doesn’t want to ruin their friendship.... Absolutely loved this sweet read of friends falling in love. I'll admit I picked this book to read because it had a dog on the cover but it turned out to be a fantastic story. I have never read anything by Tawdra Kandle but will be continuing this series for sure. She created wonderful characters who are warm, witty, sweet, sexy, & just plain fun. This book is the first book in the The Always Love Trilogy. ARC provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Always For You from new me author Tawdra Kandle, is an entertaining romance about unrequited love. This story is about veterinarians Maureen Evans and Smith Harrington. They met the first day of their freshman year in college and became fast friends. They both harbored strong feelings for one another, but due to somewhat ambiguous communication, they remained in the friend zone. Now it is ten years later and Maureen is back in her hometown of Burton Georgia. She has opened her own vet practice and purchased a large, older home. Maureen gets in contact with Smith and asks him to be her business partner. Naturally, he accepts because he has never gotten over Maureen and he needs a change of scenery from his fast paced life in Boston. Smith moves into Maureen's spacious second floor apartment and once again they are sharing their lives. This time around they flirt, explore their feelings, have amazing sex, and ultimately, live happily ever after. I enjoyed this sweet and sexy story. Ms. Kandle evolves the friends to lovers relationship with skillful ease, and there was never a moment that I did not want Maureen and Smith to fulfill their dream and find their forever. They are unique individuals and when they finally sleep together, their love is both hot and sensual. Maureen's friends are a hoot and they add a lot interest to the story. If you are looking for a well-written romance with characters that are easy to connect with, then pick up a copy of Always For You. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

Always For You,  Tawdra Kandle   Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews Genre:  New Adult, Romance My first book by this author, but I’m a sucker for second chance romance so looked forward to reading this. It was a fun read, Maureen and Smith such lovely people. There were a few “smile” moments but also some that felt a little forced, and as though they were put in just to put the characters in the right place to do or say something, and didn’t quite feel natural. Still, I was rooting for them to finally realise that they were in love. They were perfect for each other and everyone around them could see it, but they both were so hung up on this “only see each other as friends” thing. I’m sure that happens a lot, we all are cautious sometimes about risking what we have already if we get it wrong. I could see why they both felt that way, helped of course by the dual POV, something I always enjoy. I do like to understand from the characters themselves and  what they are feeling. Overall it was a sweet read, a fun one but it didn’t quite have enough drama in for me, and I missed that. I do need the big breakup, the things that make the romance veer off track, the stuff that makes me feel choked up and here it never really felt that way. Its the first in a series and yet the way some of the other characters got together, and the issues they’d had made me wonder at first if I’d missed a couple of books – there certainly seemed potential for others from those people and their journey to romance. Stars: three, its a fun read, a good book but a little lacking in drama and conflict for me.   ARC supplied by Netgalley and publishers

This is another great book from Tawdra. In this book we meet Maureen and Smith. They met in college and were great friends. What neither of them knew was that they were both secretly in love with each other. Fast forward 10 years. They are now graduated and both veterinarians. Maureen moves back to her hometown and buys an old large home, and takes over the only veterinarian office in town. She asks Smith if he would like to become a partner with her. He of course accepts. 10 years have not changed anything for these two in the way they feel. They are both head over heels in love with each other. I personally think Maureen suffers from low self esteem. She doesn’t think anyone would want to be around her for her fun personality and that no one could possibly fall for her. She is dead wrong. She has a lot of friends and family. Smith is head over heels in love with her. This is a sweet modern day love story. This book reminds me that you never know what the future holds and to never give up on love. I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions in this review are 100% my own.

All the pieces in Maureen Evans life are falling right into place, she is moving into her own home, a friend and her are opening a Veterinarian business, and now the next thing on her "to do" list is to find love. Up and until now, she hasn't made much time for dating because she has been too focused on getting her business started, and also still a little hung up on lingering feelings for her friend Smith. As soon as she met Smith Harrington in college, an instant friendship bloomed, and while she always wanted something more with him, he always found a way to keep her in the friend zone. And now that he is going to be her business partner, and tenant, she figures it is best time as any to let her feelings for him go, and finally move on with someone new. Smith Harrington has been in love with Maureen Evans since the first time he laid eyes on her back in college. He always tried to make his feelings for her known, but she never seem to pick up on his hints, or his flirty advances. So he figured she just wasn't interested in anything other than friendship, so he tried to move on and let his feelings go, but no matter how hard he tried they were always there lingering. When she called and offered him to go into business with her he jumped at the chance to be close to her again, and hopes that he might finally be able to convince her that they would be perfect together. This was my first time reading a book by this author, and I have to say that I really enjoyed it, so much so, I plan to revisit the series and read future installments. The story line pulled me almost immediately and had me staying up well past my bedtime just to finish it! I think it is safe to say that Ms. Kandle has a hit on her hands with this one!! If you like small town romance stories with a southern twist, then this is the perfect read for you!! ARC given in exchange for a honest and unbiased review.

5 stars I fell in love with Burton all over again! Maureen and Smith have sparks of chemistry all over the place. This story wrapped me all up, in, and around the characters. I had so much fun getting inside their heads, reading their inner dialogue, and seeing the struggles they each had with their feelings. I couldn't help myself, and had to literally laugh out loud throughout the book. This was both fun to read, and made me smile as my heart smiled at the sweet and tender moments. The steamy moments made me want to fan myself just a little. I absolutely loved this book, and couldn't put it down from the moment I started it. #AlwaysLove #BackToBurton
