Overview

Always In (The Shore Series, #2) by M.R. Joseph

My name is Raphael Cruz. I was once a man made up of only flesh and bone. Never feeling, just existing. I indulged in the pleasures that others gave to me, and those I gave to them. That's all it was—pleasure. Physical pleasure. No emotions, no attachments. I didn't need all those feelings, didn't want them. There was no longing for love, no longing to let anyone in. Until I found her. And I gave in.

Harlow Hannum showed me what love was all about. I savored it and held it close, not even knowing I really wanted it in my life. She made me feel loved. She made me accept love. She taught me how to love in return. My heart was open to it all.  My heart was hers. It belonged to her. But, she never knew. And then lies, deceit and betrayal forced me to lose the one thing that made me more than a man who just existed.

I should have told her I loved her when I had the chance. I should have told her I gave in to all the powers that love possesses.

Will I ever have the chance to tell her? Will my past mistakes never give me that chance?

I need her to know.

I want her to know...

I'm in...

Always.

3.5 Stars The story has laughs, suspense, twists and turns, sacrifice, secrets, pain, and heartbreak. I would recommend reading the below story before reading this one: Giving In (The Shore, #1) This is more of Harlow’s story. After an accident that took away her memories of love she tries to move on with her life. She does not remember Cruz’s love or her love for him. She does feel for a teacher in her school. Cruz changed everything around in his life in order to win back Harlow but she pushed him away at every turn. After starting to get her memories back she is trying to deal with her love for two people. Who will she choose? Will she choose? Will it be who she really wants? Will she drag out the choosing? I had a lot of trouble with this story. I liked both Harlow and Cruz in the first book. In this book I hated Harlow. I felt so bad for Cruz. There were times in this book that I wanted Cruz to find someone else, someone better then Harlow. Even in the end of this story I am still unsure if I will ever like her again. If we were friends I would have smacked some sense into her….. I recommend this story.

I was unable to put these first two books down. The characters had me cheering them on and at times angry and even crying. I truly loved reading their story and look forward to book 3.

Always In...appropriate title since my nose was always in the book once I got started. Cruz, Harlow and the newcomer Daniel did not disappoint. I really wanted to hate Daniel for coming in between the two that are meant to be together but I just couldn't. My heart broke for Cruz but I loved Daniel too. Nothing is worse than rooting for one guy and knowing that you will hate if the interloper gets hurt too. I kept checking my pages read to see how this was going to conclude in just 50 pages, 30 pages and then 5 pages. I couldn't figure it out and my heart was torn over and over. Nothing is more refreshing than a book that you can't predict. You assume that there will be a HEA but how that will look isn't necessarily how you image it. You have to read to see how this love story ends. You will not be disappointed. If you love a book that drags your heart and emotions through the mud over and over, look no further and one-click now. Well played, M.R. Joseph, well played.
