I took a chance on an unknown author and was so glad I did. I was expectimg a romance, but got so much more. It was one of those books you don't want to put down once you start. The characteres were so real and deep, I got drawn into the story right away. I've been disappointed by a lot of my favorites lately, same old, same old. It was a pleasure to read something different. I may have found a new favorite author. I can't wait to read more from her.

This book was amazing. It was raw and unpredictable. I recommend it to teenage girls and young women. The book was very sweet and wonderfully written.

A Really Fun Read! This book is a page turner right from the start, driven by the colorful and complex characters Jodi Langston has created. Add a little bit of drama, some steam and a crazy ex-husband and you have all the components to make an awesome movie. I found myself feeling bad for Alex, sometimes feeling bad for Rick and feeling annoyed at Thane’s childishness. However, don’t be surprised if you find yourself rooting for the snobbish womanizing actor extraordinaire, he’s more than he appears to be. In the end though, you might find who you’re rooting for to win Alex’s heart will shift. I went back and forth quite a bit as I gasped, snacked, and chewed on my fingernails through this really fun read.

Just ok. If there was ever a book that needed a prologue it was this one. I liked this story and then I didn’t; it just fell flat for me. There was a gaping hole where a little back story would have been really helpful. The author tells you Rick and Alex were both in love prior to Alex’s coma, but as a reader no experience of that time in their relationship adequately written about. For ten years, Rick has been Alex’s platonic best friend, confidant, protector, and human Kleenex while he secretly prepared for a life for them together. While I understand Alex was a victim, so much attention was focused on her pill popping paranoia and anxiety that I couldn’t grasp what was so amazing about this reclusive woman that Rick would spend 10 years pining for her. I just could not relate to Alexandra and Rick as a couple; there was no chemistry.

I was seriously disappointed with this book. The POV kept changing from the main character to supporting characters without rhyme or reason, the added love interest in the first part of the novel was unnecessary and made the story convoluted, and when we finally found out what the story was supposed to be about, I had gotten so pissed off at the POV changes, I put the book down and refused to pick it back up. I was not impressed.
