I absolutely love Samantha's books and this is one of my favorites. This is a definite must-read. (Of course start from the beginning. The series so far has been great.) You won't be disappointed. Thanks Samantha for another awesome book!

Always My Girl is the third book in the Shaughnessy Brothers series. This book is about Anna and Quinn. They have been best friends since childhood when Anna moved in next door. Anna is in love with Quinn but has never told him. When Quinn finally sees Anna as a woman and not just his best friend sparks fly! I loved Quinn and Anna! I loved how they transitioned from friends to lovers. I loved hearing more about the other Shaughnessy family members too! The epilogue made me so happy! I'm hoping Bobby will get a story too! I would definitely recommend this book!

Always My Girl by Samantha Chase is the third book in her Shaughnessy Brothers series. It is a sweet story that focuses Anna Hannigan and Quinn Shaughnessy. These two were best friends and next door neighbors growing up. Anna was a tomboy who started falling for Quinn as she grew older. Quinn didn’t seem to notice Anna except as his best friend. Anna was tired of being overlooked and felt she was in a rut. Needing a change, she left her job at the pub to sell real estate. She’s not happy with her change, but believes it’s the only way to meet dateable men. Quinn doesn’t know what hit him when he realizes that Anna has curves and is beautiful. Both worry that their friendship will not survive if they enter into a relationship. What comes next is a roller coaster ride of two wonderful people forgetting to be friends when they become lovers. The question remains, will they be able to salvage their friendship and stay in a relationship. This was a fun and entertaining story with likeable characters that you want to support and cheer on hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written and complex. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I really enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I highly recommend this book to other readers. Although this book is part of a series, it does stand alone and it doesn’t matter if you haven’t read the previous books. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Review Loved, loved this story of friends to lovers. A sweet with a little hotness in this story. Anna has always loved Quinn, since sharing their chocolate chip cookies together. Quinn, always considered Anna, his best friend, the girl next door. Now Anna needs Quinn to find her as a desirable woman, so she makes changes to what she thinks Quinn wants. Their sexual chemistry is hot, but Quinn is afraid of failure, he has always been a player and he doesn't want to loose what they have. Their relationship will take you on a roller coaster, with laughs and tears. Ok. so I wanted to slap Quinn a few times. I loved catching up with the rest Shaughnessy family, great family dynamics. This is the third book in the series, but can be read as a stand alone. Can't wait for more!! By the way, I love this cover!!!

Samantha Chase is one of my favorite authors, and she has nailed book 3 in the Shaughnessy series!! Anna and Quinn are a pretty awesome couple. I loved how Quinn finally discovered that Anna was not just a girl to hang out with, but a woman who was sexy and fun. My heart broke for both characters, as they face many issues, from not just their own insecurities, but also the influences of those around them. I loved catching up with the characters from previous books, and can't wait to see what Samantha has in store for us next!! This is definitely a must read!!

My Disclaimer: I was provided a free copy of this book by the author’s representative. I am voluntarily providing an honest review in which all opinions are fully my own. I am not being compensated in any way. ~ Judi E. Easley for Blue Cat Review My Review: ✭✭✭✭⭑ I’m so used to reading books written from the gal’s point of view, that when I first started reading this one, I forgot that it’s the Shaughnessy Brother’s series. I was mostly focused on Anna, so my reading of it was a bit different than it might have been had I been thinking straight. But it made it even more interesting later on when Quinn felt put-upon. Quinn and Anna grew up together. Quinn was all action and speed, and Anna was the tomboy next door. They went and did everything together. They even told each other everything because they were BFFs. As in, Quinn talked to Anna about his girlfriends. A bit much maybe? Everybody said that Quinn took advantage of Anna’s easy-going nature. She loved to take care of him, so if he called late at night and wanted cookies, she’d bake him cookies and take them to him. Working hard on an engine and can’t stop for lunch? She’d take him a sandwich. She didn’t seem to mind. Would you? Hhmmm. Their relationship was really cute, but it was sad as well. You could see it had to fall apart before it could get fixed. Anna’s not such a tomboy 25 years later. She’s all dressed up and selling real estate. Guys are hitting on her. And she’s smiling right back at them. Even Quinn notices. But now her big secret that she thought no one knew is about to be revealed. One Quinn isn’t sure how to handle. Will he still see her as his BFF or finally open his eyes and see the woman she’s become? Does he keep on denying it or thank his lucky stars it’s him she’s in love with? Some men need to be hit over the head with things, and others need a talk with their fathers. Guess which way this one went. Samantha Chase does her usual great job of creating characters that are perfect for each other and letting life stir them up a bit. I even like the cover. It suits the characters to a T. If the rest of this series is anything like Always My Girl, there are a few more books on my TBR list! Highly recommend this book and the rest of the series or anything by this author.

Anna has been in love with her best friend ever since they became friends when they were 8 years old. The major downside to loving him is that in the decades of friendship between Anna and Quinn, Quinn has never seen her as a girl. He has only ever seen her as the tomboy from their youth. As a result of never being seen as a female by her best friend as well as those in her town Anna has decided to try something new. She is transforming her life into that of a girly girl by changing her job, wearing dresses and heals, and being more feminine when it comes to how she speaks and acts. Quinn loves his best friend Anna, she is one of the few people he is completely himself around. To bad that his love is completely platonic and he has never even thought of her as a "female" with female needs/parts. That is until he sees her at his brothers wedding and didn't recognize her until he was so caught up in the fantasy of being with the new girl that his whole world view is turned upside down. This was a great read that you will not want to miss out on. I really enjoyed how Quinn evolved and learned how to not be so self involved and how to be okay with failure. And I loved how Anna evolved so that she was able to learn to not be a door mat to Quinn and how she learned to be selfish when she has been putting everyone around her first in all things even when it made her truly depressed so that she could be a "friend" to those she loves. This book did a great job at showing that going from friends to lovers is not always an easy transition and that romance can be fun, flighty, and challenging. This was a great story written by Ms. Chase ~ Book Obsessed Chicks Review Team Selection.

I was excited to see another Shaughnessy Brothers book come available and I am adoring that cover. There is something about it that just makes me think of long summer days and flirting with that cute boy next door. As I have mentioned in my reviews for the first two books in The Shaughnessy Brother's series, the author has once again thrown us a curve ball. What do I mean by that? Well, in the very first book, it was clear there was some not only massive chemistry between best friends Quinn and Anna, but Anna's been fighting a major crush most of her life. So with this sweet teasing build up between the two characters, I figured we wouldn't get their happily ever after until the last book. You know, keeping us in suspense throughout the entire series? That would be standard operating procedure for most authors. But nope, here we are, mid-way through and *Bam*, we get their story. And what a story it was. Anna was such a strong character. Yes, she does try to change herself to please and attract Quinn, but she also makes some wonderful discoveries about herself in the process. Then, just as she is throwing in the towel and working towards trying to get over Quinn, he finally figures things out. Quinn turned out to be a much more complex character than he had appeared in the first two books. I really enjoyed their interactions and the dialogue was so clever. I had a great time with this book and gave it 4 stars. Sourcebooks Casablanca and Netgalley provided me with this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I absolutely loved "Always My Girl". Aidan and Hugh's stories were just as great, but Quinn is my favorite so far. (Of course, I may have thought that when I was reading their stories as well.) Quinn and Anna's story had me laughing one minute and in tears the next. And then, I just wanted to slap Quinn for being such a jerk. One of my favorite parts in this book was when Ian, Quinn's father, had a heart to heart talk with him and spoke of Quinn's mother Lillian. The love, romance, fighting, friendship, drama, crying and all around dynamics between Quinn and Anna, as well as all their family and friends, was like being there and watching it all unfold. Reading one of Samantha Chase's books with the Shaughnessy Brothers always gives me a warm feeling. I was gifted with "Always My Girl" by NetGalley and Sourcebooks asking for my honest opinion. This is mine. Highly Recommend...5 Stars!

Don’t you just love a good romance where the one you love is right in front of you and you do NOT even realize it? Quinn has no use for being tied down to one woman, seriously, why should he when he has such a smorgasbord out there and forever is such a long time? His best friend, Anna, a tomboy kind of girl, may not agree, because she has been carrying a torch for Quinn for years, secretly, of course, because after all, they are best buds. There comes a time in every girl’s life when she wants love, she wants someone special and because she hasn’t the guts to tell Quinn, the anti-love guy, she is determined to find it somewhere with someone. You guessed it, Quinn is more than just a little upset and dare we say jealous? So, what will he do about it? Samantha Chase’s Always My Girl is a romance for the truly romantics in all of us. Come on, who couldn’t love two perfectly adorable characters who do such an amazing job of dancing around the Cupid in the room, one of them avoiding the truth and one of them kind of clueless. Samantha Chase has brought another Shaughnessy brother to his knees, with light-hearted moments, endearing moments and moments that are pure romance. What’s not to love about two people meant for each other, finding love in their best friend? I received an ARC edition from Sourcebooks Casablanca in exchange for my honest review.

Always My Girl tells the story I have been waiting for for.. Anna has been in love her best friend Quinn for most of her life. Quinn returns to town to expand his automotive business and Anna decides that she will step up her efforts to become more friends with him. After becoming a realtor, she changes her wardrobe and is trying to be more social. Quinn is reluctant to change his relationship with Anna and when she agrees to go on a date with a client of the garage he is reluctant to admit he is jealous. The date ends disastrously, but marks a new change in their relationship. Will Anna and Quinn grow into a new romantic relationship or will they outgrow each other? I was really looking forward to this book and while I was happy to see how Anna and Quinn's relationship worked out, I wish both of the main characters were more mature and communicated better. I liked seeing all of the Shaughnessy family and I still love Quinn's dad! I was given a free copy for an honest review.

Always My Girl is a deliciously sweet contemporary romance, one you can’t help but devour. Anna and Quinn have been best friends since they were 5. Anna has secretly been pining for Quinn since she started noticing boys but Quinn is clueless. When Anna decides to look for love, give up on her thing for Quinn, Quinn isn’t happy. He starts to notice Anna in an entirely new light. Could it be that they are their own biggest obstacle…admitting they are in love with their best friend? Chase once again impresses me with a heartwarming tale of love and friendship. Fun, heartfelt and sincere, you can’t help but find yourself drawn right into the Shaughnessy family. I received this ARC copy of How Sweet It Is from SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca in exchange for a honest review.

Always My Girl is the 3rd in the Shaughnessy Brother's series. I love books that are like coming back to family, while getting to meet new friends. From the beginning to the end of Always my girl I was not disappointed. That feeling of love and belonging was evident the moment the characters are reunited. I love the interaction, the conversation and the tone set by all the members of the Shaughnessy family. I found myself missing my mom when they were talking about Lillian. I loved that Anna and Quinn were and are and will always be best friends. The language of the characters, there actions and reactions draw you in. If you haven't met the Shaughnessy's then your missing out on getting to know characters that make you fall in love with them. They're loving, and fiesty, confrontational and snarky, their funny and endearing. They're real life family from the beloved author Samantha Chase who knows how to develop characters that keep you coming back to discover how this family has grown. From book to book I hope this family and these characters will continue forever. I loved the story of Anna and Quinn because I loved that they loved each other almost from the beginning of time. I loved that the knew the good the bad and the ugly and still saw the very best in each other. A must read for anyone that loves getting to know characters and making them part of their book family.

I'm starting to really love Samantha Chase's writing style, and with Always My Girl, I've got a new series to love. Now I need to go back and read the previous books in the series to get the low down on the other brothers. Quinn and Anna were so adorably sweet, and I wanted to smack Quinn a bit, but other than maybe a little more heat, this story had it all.

For the uninitiated, Samantha Chase started off her new series “The Shaughnessy Brothers” with “Made For Us” (Aidan and Zoe), “Love Walks In” (Hugh and Aubrey), and now the third Shaughnessy brother Quinn sure takes his own sweet time trying to come to grips as to what’s been staring in his face all this time. Quinn Shaughnessy will make you want to shake some sense into him, he can be an idiot where Anna is concerned, you want to smack him when he makes decisions for Anna and you want to love him for his heart made of gold. He sure made Anna Hannigan wait a few years before he finally comes to his sense and declares to the world that she’s “Always My Girl”. And Anna Hannigan, the ever-sweet girl of his who can never say no, always at his side rain or shine and friends of the heart, has literally pined for Quinn for her entire life. Coming out of her shell and trying to live life outside of Quinn doesn’t seem to work in her favor. And when they do finally become a couple, their relationship is not short of fireworks, as they try to navigate the transition from friends to lovers. Like every love story, Quinn and Anna have a lot of baggage to shed, insecurities to overcome, and fears of failure to conquer. Again, Samantha Chase does a wonderful job of setting Quinn apart from his brothers, with his own characterization and individuality, his weaknesses and strengths and his equation with his Dad. And again she does a brilliant job of interweaving the dynamics of the Shaughnessys, as they stand together in support in their varied degrees. “Always My Girl” is another wonderful story of love and care, support and strength, friendship and family, that not only gives us a warm romance, but also gives us an insight into different personalities and the dynamics of a large and caring family. Received an ARC from Sourcebooks Casablanca via NetGalley for an honest review.

A yummy sweet and hot best-friends-to-lovers romance! She'd always been in love with Quinn. Ever since they were kids. She just... she knew. He was the one for her. Her soul mate. The only problem was Quinn didn't feel the same way. She was his pal. His buddy. There'd never once been anything romantic between them, and if he even suspected how she felt, he'd never let on. I absolutely loved Quinn's and Anna's best-friends-to-lovers story in ALWAYS MY GIRL by Samantha Chase! The cover is delightful, too - it would have drawn me in all by itself. This is a very sweet read with flashbacks to the couple's childhood memories interspersed with the two in the present day. This is the story of Quinn Shaughnessy and Anna Hannigan. They have a long history having been best friends since grade school when Anna's family moved in next door to the Shaughnessys. "I love you, Quinn Shaughnessy. From the very first day when we snuck into my house and stole those chocolate chip cookies and then hid behind the jungle gym, I was hooked." While Anna's feelings for Quinn have evolved over the years into a serious crush, Quinn continues to think of Anna as a tomboy, the girl-next-door and his best friend. Anna really wants Quinn to see her as a woman, but she doesn't know how to go about that. Quinn has a well-earned reputation as a player. He only seems to be attracted to bimbos - and, even they, only garner his attention for a night or two. Her brother and friends tell her to give up on her fantasy, move on and find her HEA elsewhere. Quinn sure doesn't expect to meet up with a new version of Anna when he arrives at the beach-side home where his brother's wedding will occur. On the contrary, he expects to be bored out-of-his-mind. He knows his brother's bride-to-be, Zoe, has a few friends attending and he hopes that he can convince one of them to indulge into some pleasurable activities during the long weekend. When he sees a curvy woman sunbathing by the pool, he thinks he's struck gold - until he introduces himself and looks in his best-friend's eyes. He'd never seen her in a bikini before and swallows his tongue knowing he can't hit upon her. His friendship with her is too precious. He does not want to lose what they have and fears that is what would happen if their relationship changed the way his body obviously demands. Now, if he could just get his mind and body to listen! Samantha took the generic friends-to-lovers storyline, added a dose of tough reality with a slew of trials and tribulations and wrapped the package up tidily with an enchanting HEA. While I wanted to shake Quinn more than once during the telling, he sure said - and meant from the bottom of his heart - the sweetest, most yummiest things. This couple was so genuine - their feelings for each other so strong - that their story came across as intensely real. I was utterly mesmerized. I've enjoyed every book by Samantha that I've read. That said, this is, hands down, my favorite so far. I highly recommend ALWAYS MY LOVE to anyone who enjoys delectable sweet and hot contemporary romances with completely endearing characters! 4 1/2 Wine Glasses!

In this third book in the series, Quinn and Anna have known each other since childhood and have been friends forever, with Anna doing more things for him really like food at midnight so when she decides to change careers and start dating he's not too keen on the idea but doesn't know why. Fast book to read and even though it is the third book in the series, you don't get confused at all as to who is what. I actually bought the first two books in the series after reading this book.

#1 Read in My eBook Library!!!!!!!!! I am a hopeless romantic at heart and the friends to lovers gets me every time. I loved this story!!!!! This third book in this series by Samantha Chase runs the full course. Makes you laugh, cry and believe that True Love is not just in Fairy Tales!!! Anna was more of the tomboy growing up and then found she started having a crush on Quinn. Quinn’s type of girl was love them and leave them fast, the faster the better. But as time went on Anna started to feel much more for Quinn. Like some men, it take a bit to see the wonderful thing that is right in front of their eyes. But will it be too late???? Can’t wait to see what Samantha Chase has instore for the next installment!! Keep up the AWESOME writing!!!!

3.5 stars---ALWAYS MY GIRL is the third installment in Samantha Chase’s contemporary, adult THE SHAUGHNESSY BROTHERS romance series focusing on the Shaughnessy siblings. This is former NASCAR driver Quinn Shaughnessy, and real estate agent Anna Hannigan’s story line. ALWAYS MY GIRL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. SOME BACKGROUND: Seventeen years earlier the Shaughnessy’s lost their mother to a drunk driving accident that left six siblings (including a one year old infant daughter) without a mother. Fast forward to present day where each child continues to struggle with the loss. Told from dual third person perspectives (Anna and Quinn) ALWAYS MY GIRL is a friends to lovers romance that sees life-long friends Anna Hannigan and Quinn Shaughnessy struggle when the relationship crosses the line into something more. Anna has been in love with Quinn most of her life. They are best friends who tell one another everything but Anna is in love with her best friend and Quinn is oblivious to Anna’s heartbreaking pain. To complicate matters, Anna begins to ‘change’ for Quinn, hoping our hero will see her in a different light-perhaps treat her like a woman rather than one of the guys. When Quinn finally takes notice, he hides their relationship believing himself unworthy of Anna’s love- this is reinforced by the comments from his family and friends. Quinn is a runner when the going gets tough, and as their romantic relationship begins to develop, Quinn believes his reputation will destroy any chance of happiness with his best friend. His ego will be battered when friends and family begin to reveal the truth about his self-centered attitude and open his eyes to the events of the past. The relationship is a friends to lovers trope between two people who have loved one another most of their lives but a love that is different on both sides of the relationship. For years, Quinn has taken advantage of his friendship with Anna, while Anna quietly hopes for Quinn to see the woman behind the friend. The $ex scenes are implied, and fade to black. ALWAYS MY GIRL has a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including all of the Shaughnessy siblings, their father Ian and his new lady Martha, as well as Anna’s brother Bobby Hannigan. Bobby is a police officer who is struggling with his new position on the force and his new partner on the beat. The world building continues to focus on the Shaughnessy family dynamics and finding love. ALWAYS MY GIRL is an entertaining story although some readers may take issue with the heroine’s need to change for a man; and Quinn’s need to hide his relationship with the woman he loves. Another Shaughnessy sibling finds love where it always was.

Always My Girl by Samantha Chase....Won me over, I absolutely could not put this book down and it touched my heart. Samantha takes friends to lovers to a new level, we go from childhood next door neighbor friends to grown-up attraction of lovers. Quinn and Anna go through the struggles of adult relationships and question what they are doing. This book is filled with family, friendship, sweetness, drama and love. I highly recommend this book or any book by Samantha Chase to romance readers. I was given a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley for an honest review.

I Loved this story. It is a wonderful addition to the Shaughnessy Series. Anna Hannigan has been best Friends with Quinn Shaughnessy since she was about 6 years old, she has also had a crush on him just about as long. The only problem is Quinn only sees her as a buddy. Anna does not want to tell him how she feels and chance ruining their friendship. Quinn has always counted on Anna to be there for him, although lately she is changing and he can't figure out why, Suddenly he is starting to see Anna in a new light. With so many mixed emotions will they ever be able to move forward and make a romantic relationship work or are they destined to just stay friends? I had a wide range of emotions going on while reading this book, I laughed and teared up and even got a little mad and Quinn. So much is going on with these two trying to figure their lives out, that it makes for a great read I just could not put down. Of course we see more of the rest of the lovable Shaughnessy family and I am looking forward to more to come!!!

In Book 3 of Samantha Chase's The Shaughnessy Brothers series, she brings us Quinn's story. I love this family! They are always there for each other through thick and thin. I found it hard to love Quinn quite as much as I did Hugh when I read Book 2, but I still enjoyed the story a lot! Quinn Shaughnessy has always been sure of himself and what he wants out of life and he enjoys having a good time. He's happy for his older brothers that they have found love and seem happy, but it's not for him! Anna Hannigan has been best friends with Quinn since they were 5 years old. They tell each other everything, always have each others backs and have no secrets ... well, except that Anna has been in love with him for years! She finally decides she has wasted too much time life waiting around on him and makes some changes in her life. Quinn isn't happy to see Anna distancing herself or changing how she dresses, and he hates the possibility of her dating someone even less! Happenstance gets them to take a chance on each other and become more than friends, but will they be able to make it last despite their differences?

Always My Girl, book 3 in Samantha Chase's Shaughnessy Brothers series is wonderful and adorable. This story is about Quinn who finally opens his eyes to see that his best friend Anna has somehow sprouted the potential to be more, be girlfriend material, as Anna has pined for Quinn for years. Quinn and Anna have been best friends since their were young kids, and Anna has always been in love with Quinn. As time marches on she begins to wonder and plot ways for Quinn to notice her in a romantic light. With a bit of help from her closest girlfriend(and Quinn's brother Aidan's wife, Zoe), she puts some plans into action. Once Quinn realizes that maybe his destiny was right before him for so many years, he begins to contemplate how to successfully bridge the gap from friendship to lovers. Not an easy task for either one of them! Always My Girl is filled with fun, fights and a gaggle of Shaughnessys! Family is everything and this one is strong and funny and ferocious! Not one member of the family is safe from being the target of some pretty serious teasing! My favorite moments of these stories are moments shared and remembered with Patriarch Ian and Matriarch, Lillian. Those scenese and moments take my breath away. This story is filled with surprising turns, the wonderful Hannigan family in a supporting role and Quinn and Anna swimming strongly toward what they both want out of life! Samantha Chase did a fabulous job of conveying the emotions that come with a great risk! I highly recommend this read!!
