I have no idea how I missed hearing about this book by Bethany Lopez. I mean come on Cupcakes, hot biker dude, even hotter romance, great storyline , oh yes and might a say one mighty fine cover as well. Yep had me breaking out the coconut flour and whipping up a batch of my favorite cupcakes to eat while reading this book. I loved the fact that this Author gave us real life situations, yep mixed with humor and hotness... I mean come on Cade is one hawt biker dude. Yep! This is one series I am hooked on. Good thing I still have cupcakes left as I heading into the next book right now.

Reminds me of Stephanie Plum but more grown up" I loved this, its the first time I've read/listened to Bethany Lopez but it won't be the last. The narrator brings the story to life. She reminds me of Barbara Rosenblatt who was one of my first favorite narrators. She differentiates between voices wonderfully. This audiobook was given to me for free at my request from the publisher or author or narrator and I provided this voluntary review.

Great book filled with humor, a few thrills, a little heartache and some fantastic characters in this story. I am not going to say to much because it would involve spoilers and I hate spoilers myself but lets say you will want more when you are done with this book. I received an advanced copy of this book for an honest review.

I loved this book. Lila, is a single mom devoted to her kids, who works two part-time jobs, one at a bakery and one taking photos for a private investigator. It's the second job that lands her in a world of trouble and in the arms of a sexy hot biker. This book is so much fun! Lila is bold and sassy and Cade takes one look at her and knows she is the one for him. This book has some of everything, action, adventure, humor and sizzling romance. I enjoyed this book a lot and can't wait to read more by this author. I was provided a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

I enjoyed this fun little read. I really like this author's writing style. Her stories are laced with humor, have fun sexy times, and leave you with a smile. This book is no exception. I loved Lila and how feisty she was. She's foul mouthed, outlandish, and completely hilarious. After discovering her douche of an ex was cheating on her she takes a job photographing other douches and proving their infidelity. One job though turns out to be a bit more than she bargained for! Lucky for her she has caught the eye of a motorcycle riding hottie who comes to her rescue every time she finds herself in trouble. This is truly an entertaining read and a book I highly recommend!

Reviewed by Anne-Marie Reynolds for Readers' Favorite Always Room for Cupcakes by Bethany Lopez is a humorous tale of how to pick oneself up off the ground and have a good shake up! Lila was married to Eric for 12 years when she found him with his head between the legs of a girl who wasn’t her. With quick thinking, she got her revenge with one photograph. Now divorced, she has taken a job as an Investigative Photographer and spends her days photographing others who are in compromising situations. Suddenly, she finds herself mixed up in something just a little too dangerous for words, but she seems to have a knight in shining armor, as well as group of very good friends, behind her. One thing Lila does know is that, no matter what happens, no matter where the chips fall, there is always room for cupcakes. If you are offended by strong language and strong sex scenes, do not read Always Room for Cupcakes by Bethany Lopez. If you are not offended, then I strongly urge you to pick up this book. This is a really fun read, a fantastic story with some very strong characters. I laughed so much while reading this I had tears pouring down my face. The story line is sound, there is plenty of action in it – between the sheets and out – and a lot of suspense. It is a unique story line and Bethany has done an amazing job with it. There really are no holds barred but, with the exception of a couple of words that I personally don’t like, it was all done very tastefully. This has everything – action, suspense, murder, romance and sex. Great book, I will definitely be reading more from Bethany Lopez.

Always Room for Cupcakes is fast-paced and engaging, and the book can easily be finished in one sitting. Bethany Lopez has a gift for comedy, as the story was quite funny in parts. The characters were quirky and likable, and it's always nice to see a group of strong, assertive women at the forefront of a story. I'm not necessarily sure I fully believed the romance between Cade and Lila or that the relationship was ever even fully actualized. It somewhat bothered me that there was an agreement to take things slow, yet on date #2, they're ripping each other's clothes off approximately 5 seconds after walking in the house -- what happened to slowing things down? Hell, what happened to at least eating dinner? Besides, the slightly unrealistic development of the relationship between the main characters, there was some repetitive wording and slightly awkward phrasing that bugged me, but overall, Always Room for Cupcakes is an enjoyable read, that I would recommend to anyone.

I read this book in a few hours, and loved every second of it! It reminded me of an R version of the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich, but without the love triangle that drove me crazy. Bethany Lopez wrote Lila and her female friends perfectly. It felt as if I was out with my friends; the way we talk and swear. A lot of the books I read don’t include swear words, and if they do, they can feel fake, as if the author put them in to make the book more hip. But the way Lopez wrote, they felt natural. The sex scenes with Cade were hot, and were written in the way people have sex. No strange phrasing like, “his member hit my womb,” because if it did, you would most likely have to go to the hospital. I really enjoyed how up front Cade was about his past sexual encounters, and where he wanted this relationship to go. It was a refreshing change from a lot of the romances I read where one or both of the characters are constantly doubting the relationship, or changing their minds. The book also included the perfect amount of tension when Lila starts photographing the new drug dealers in town. I don’t want to spoil anything but there are a couple of scenes towards the end that are really intense. I would highly recommend this book if you are looking for a hot romance with strong female characters that is also funny, and has a bit of thriller thrown in. I noticed that Lopez has a bunch of other books out, which I am excited to explore. And I hope she writes more with these characters, since I would love to read one with the reporter/blogger and the lawyer…. I think they could make an interesting couple.

Thank you Bethany for making me feel so much better about my ice cream accidiction, while I’m trying to cut back I still need it for major moments. Should I mention that I’m eating ice cream now, anyway I digress. Always Room for Cupcakes is one of those witty, romantic comedy, feel good with a dash of sexy and mystery books. I thoroughly enjoyed every page. Delilah “Lila” Horton life was turned upside down after catching her husband and children’s father in the backside with his face where it should not be. After that life changing moment she put her new found photography skills to use by working for a local PI, who may or may not have had some shady practices. While making a quick getaway from one her adventures she kind of was rescued by a sexy man on a bike, nothing unordinary about that. Cade happens to be that breathe of fresh air that Lila needs from her stale world. This guy actually comes from nowhere and takes charge and makes her feel special and giddy. While Cade is a semi main character I still feel like he’s a mystery, fingers crossed there’s another book in the works with some valuable deets on this man. Always Room for Cupcakes is told solely for Lila’s POV, which I’m normally not a fan of but that way the story flowed made me fall in love with the story. Even the secondary characters were interesting and realistic without being over the top.I would be an very excited reader if and when Ms. Lopez decides to make a followup story.

Funny, romantic and a bit suspenseful, Always Room for Cupcakes is a light read that gives you the story of Lila, a divorced mother of twins, who became a investigative photographer for a PI, after catching her husband cheating on her in a parking lot. Oh and she loves cupcakes too! Actually cupcakes are the treatment to all bad things in life! During one job, she's saved by a biker, a sexy, delicious hot biker, who have been watching her lately. Cade is part of an MC, but is enthralled by Lila and decides to try his luck with her. I absolutely loved the moment that Lila meets Ruffus! And the shocker!!! OMG that was precious!!! The plot is very interesting, the characters well developed and I really wanted to read more and more about them! *Read and Reviewed for The Bookery Review*

3.5 stars I really enjoyed the premise of this fun little story. Lila is proof that you can’t keep a good woman down. Her life changes in an instant when she catches her husband cheating in an unexpectedly humorous way. Suddenly, she goes from being a sensible stay at home mom of twins to being a feisty investigative photographer devoted to catching unfaithful partners in flagrante delicto. Lila curses like a sailor and has a colorful vocabulary vast enough to fill up a year’s worth of swear jars. She’s irreverent yet sweet, and her hilarious antics kept me laughing throughout the book. Toss in a mysterious hot biker, crazy cases, a little suspense, and some sexy times, and you have a winning formula for a lively romantic comedy. This book falls somewhere between a novella and a full-length novel, and I think it would have benefitted from extending the length. There are too many missed opportunities to enhance the strong plot, which is a shame because it has the potential to be a much better book. Relationships are under developed, scenarios aren’t fully explored, and the overall tempo feels rushed. However, the writing is witty, the story is engaging, and for a quick read it’s highly entertaining. I’m definitely interested in reading more of Bethany Lopez’s work.

After finding her ex in a compromising situation, formerly happy and unsuspecting wife and mother, Lila Horton, is using her expert cheater-finding senses as an Investigative Photographer, meaning she works with a local PI, snapping pictures of cheaters. Yes, it's different, but it works for her. When the case she's working on turns into something more, and a hot guy on a motorcycle rides in to save the day, and everything around her is going crazy, Lila knows that the most important thing remains: no matter what else is going on, there is always room for cupcakes. I thoroughly enjoyed this read by Bethany Lopez. Part romance, part suspense, part MC book, Bethany has written a story that is, by turn, page-turning excitement, steamy hotness, and laugh-out-loud hilarious. To be living in such a small town, Lila encounters a vast array of cheaters and criminals, and they make for some interesting moments. Added to her daily shenanigans, being mother to her 10-year-old twins, a hot new relationship with a sexy and mysterious biker dude, and girls' nights out with her besties keep Lila hopping, and make for a really fun read. I highly recommend ALWAYS ROOM FOR CUPCAKES, and give it an easy 4 stars. Check this one out; you'll be glad you did.

This story is a bit of a departure for the author from her usual contemporary romance novels. Instead it's a romantic comedy, with a bit of suspense thrown into the mix, as Lila must support herself after divorcing from her cheating ex husband, and does so by putting in some extra hours as an 'investigative photographer', essentially taking photos of people doing things they shouldn't be doing (naughty, naughty!). But she gets more than she bargained for when her boss, Moose, has her trailing not just the usual cheating spouses but getting embroiled in investigating the local drug trade. Luckily, she's made a new friend in Cade, a tall, dark and handsome man who just so happens to be part of a local motorcycle club. When things start to heat up, will Cade be on her side or part of the problem? I really enjoyed this! Lila is a hoot, constantly drowning her emotions in cupcakes, and doing her best to support her two kids. Though she and her ex have problems, to her credit, she acknowledges that he is a good father to them, and I appreciated that they had a decent understanding when it came to joint childcare. The ex-bashing is related to his falling down on the spouse side of things and not the parenting. She has a best friend whom she confides in , and despairs of finding a good man out there after her own experience. When Cade enters the picture, a large, confident, secure in his manhood kind of guy, she can't quite believe that he'd be interested in her. But he is, and though he has a love 'em and leave 'em reputation, he's determined to prove to Lila that she means something more to him. They share some funny, sexy scenes together, and definitely are compatible in the bedroom. Things do take a more serious (and slightly gruesome) turn as Lila discovers that her latest photo assignment is a lot more serious and that she's gotten in over her head. It's a fast paced, sexy, and action packed story and I hope we'll get to read more about Lila and her friends! 4.5 stars.

Always Room for Cupcakes,  Bethany Lopez Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews Genre:  Romance, Women’s Fiction. I missed that this was such a short read – I just don’t find they work so well for me, and this was a perfect example. Its a fun read, I laughed ( and cried) with Lila, she’s like so many of us, going through life, bringing up kids, thinking life is good – until it isn’t and its all change. I liked her humour, her way of picking herself up and shaking off problems, looking forward all the while as to how to keep things going for the twins. What didn’t work so well was that there was so much packed in to a short novel. It didn’t do the story justice IMO. There was the cheating ex, the family issues that arise from that, Lila’s new job as a PI, the suspense angle that comes from her latest job, where it gets pretty gruesome at one point, and the fledgling romance with Cade. So much going on but no time to really explore any of it in depth, get to know the problems and upsides, understand the characters. It just felt too surface based for me. It was a fun read and I enjoyed it, but I prefer stories that go into more detail, let me really feel as if I’m there in the book and not just an onlooker. It was things like the way she picked up her new job, got to be a PI without any training, any equipment, just her trusty phone camera, the last job which was so dangerous and yet no-one seemed to realise the risks, it was all oversimplified, kept very surface based, superficial. Her friends were a great crew but we only met them for some brief interludes, the twins were only ten and yet her job worked so seamlessly around them, its tough in two parent families making that work, in a one parent one it’s even harder and yet everything falls into place, home life, job, even the ex dramas. The Shocker – I’d never heard of that, had to look it up * blush, can’t believe I’d never heard of that term* I’m amazed her ten year old knew about it! And as for that episode and what happened after – as a parent I’d be looking at putting some controls over what the kids were watching via the net not just pass it off to dad to deal with.... The romance with Cade developed quickly, again the book length makes that necessary, though it could have been more to the front if there hadn’t been so many other things going on. I was a bit concerned when we first met him that it was going to be a biker romance, an MC one, with all that male ego, stilted, grunting speech etc. I’ve read a few and enjoyed the first ones, but after a while to me they just feel the same and I don’t want to read more of them – others do and I’m pleased for them but just not me. Its not a big issue here though, Cade is part of an MC but that part of his life only occurs very briefly in the book. The MC novels I have read were Kristin Ashley ones, and Cade felt very much like one of the heroes from there – so I wasn’t surprised to read at the end of the book that she’s one of Bethany's favourite authors.  Overall it was a read I liked but just felt rushed, with plots that were a bit too surface issue for me. The brevity meant every problem was solved/overcome so easily and life isn’t like that – not does everything work out quite so neatly for a PI!! If the book was another 100 pages it would have been a better read for me, but then there are many, many readers who want these shorter reads. I’ve a friend who wants books where – as she says – she wont have forgotten the beginni
