Amateur's Pursuit acts as that of a personal mirror-Wendy's personal mirror. A collection of, or more simply, a reflection of flashbacks, dreams and nightmares that have served their purpose in life. This is her life. Bureau's poetry will, at a glance, offer pain and sorrow, weakness and vulnerability, love, a half-cocked smile, and perhaps the shedding of a tear. Some may wear their hearts on their sleeve; Wendy's heart bleeds in the form of ink. As the parchment replaces the mirror, may each reader catch but a glimpse of her, a peek of her very soul. Serenity and self-acceptance emerge in the form of words.
