Her version of Silent NIght was the best I have ever heard. A must-have. Astounding.

I was looking forward to this since I loved Ruben's "Superstar" so much, but his solo here was a disappointment. Tamyra's solo was surprisingly unenjoyable. I had read justin did well on his solo, but i was unimpressed. I have no comment on the others yet. Although I struggled to listened to the group disc once, and some songs twice, I have listened to Kelly's disc about 30x already. Kelly breaks ground w/ likely the 1st ever "O Holy Night" w/o any music whatsoever. Kelly follows it up w/ "my grown up x-mas list" which I don't think i have ever heard before, and which will likely become a holiday regular on radio. I would not be surprised if Kelly got her own disc to make it easier to send to radio stations. This x-mas will be very interesting :)

number one- okay i guess...Clay is not my favorite and is a little weird number 2-Awesome. Ruben and Tamyra are really good singers and are even better together number three- pretty good. ruben was the best part. maybe the better song on the cd number 4- Tamyra is really good! she should of won instead of kelly number five-sorry, but kim l sounds like a man when she sings number 6-Good. Ruben brought a smile to my face when he came and started the song nimber seven- again, she sounds like a man and not much better with gay clay number 8- not his best, but is still hott! :) number nine- Good. Her voice improved i can tell you that now number 10- oh man, by far the best song version now! Ruben Rox my sox! number eleven and 12- kelly isnt my FAVORITE person, but this is good...;)

I love Christmas music and had to buy this album for my collection. My favorite track is Justin Guarini's I'll Be Home For Christmas. His smooth soulful voice is amazing. The group's Oh Come All Ye Faithful is also really good. I highly recommend this CD.

How refreshing it is to hear the sounds of familiar voices with some of our favorite Christmas songs! Hearing the distinctive voice of Clay Aiken sing "The First Noel" about did me in.....It's a great album. Enjoy.

It sounds pretty good. I can see myself hanging ornaments and drinking egg nog while listing to this cd. My faves are Tamyra, Ruben and Justin and from what I've heard they all bring it on this album. Also Christina and Kimberley sound great. I thought that there would be Kelly songs, though. And I can't really get into Clay, even though he has a great voice as well. All in all I will definitely be buying this.

I came to this cd knowing that it would contain a good amount of American Idol cheese, and it does. Like the music tracks that backed the contestants on the show, these show little imagination, and at times, are over-produced. This may really be a cd only American Idol fans will enjoy, but even nonfans can find some goodies in this bag. "O Come, All Ye Faitful" is the best song done by the esemble, perhaps because it's done a capella, and no canned music steps over the vocals. The best male and worst male performance come from Ruben Studdard. He and Tamyra Gray deliver a fine rendition of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." This would also rate as my favorite duet. Ruben's "This Christmas" is a poor rendition of Hathaway's classic. The music backing Ruben has a faux Reggae and what seems like it's supposed to be a hip hop sound, but it all meshes into a beat that sounds like it was created on a $39 key board. Ruben sounds a bit strained in the vocals, as well. Perhaps, The Whispers slower version would've suited him better. My least favorite female performance was Christina Christian. She turns in what is supposed to be a playful, child-like performance of "Winter Wonerland." But her whispery vocals seem silly, and even worse, they are of poor quality. My favorite female performance came from Kimberley Locke. The best thing that could've possibly happened in her career was not winning American Idol. Her rendition of "The Christmas Song,"(Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)is jazzy, understated, and soars in the final chorus when she gives into the power of her voice and sails. "American Idol:The Great Holiday Classics" is not a must have for those who are not wild about the show, but for fans, it is worth having.

By far, this will be the next best thing in my CD collection! Justin's voice is just oozing a certain jeanesquois and the other idols are absolutely fabulous!! Definitely a must-have for the whole holiday season!!

I wasn't sure that I wanted to spend the money for another holiday CD; however, this is a must have. There are two songs that really stand out. One is the group ensemble, Oh Come All Ye Faithful. Justin Guarini and Tamyra Gray both sound awesome on this song. Why they didn't do a duet together is beyond me. The other is I'll Be Home for Christmas by Justin. I have to admit I have not heard Justin sound any better than he does here. I highly recommend this album for anyone who loves Christmas music as I do.

This is a beautiful Christmas CD!

This is good for the holiday season, but the main reason I bought this album was for Clay and Tamyra. My only wish was if Tamyra and Clay sang a duet because they both have magnificant voice and there would be contrast, unlike Silver Bells with Kimberly Locke.

What no Kelly Clarkson, our American Idol 1 winner. You mention kelley on the blurb bn.com but you really meant KIMBERLY. How sad I was looking forward to hearing her sing..

I picked myself up a copy of the American Idol Christmas CD, feeling in the Chirstmas spirit. I listened to the CD and was conflicted. Some songs were sugar sweet, like a candy cane in your stocking, but some were lumps of coal. Okay, none were THAT bad but I felt that some surpassed others. I can see why American Idol 2 was known for the talent. Songs by Ruben Studdard, Kimberley Locke, and Clay Aiken soar right to the heart of Christmas. Ruben's velvety voice suits the Chirstmas spirit so well, and his song "This Chirstmas" adds a fun touch of life to a seemingly dreary CD. Clay Aiken's power and range grabs you and pulls you into the songs, and even if you aren't a fan, you have to admit that the boy has talent. His son, "First Noel" is beautiful. Kimberley Locke's "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire" is my favorite. This girl knows how to sing. Her voice is melodic and gorgeous, and adds that touch of brilliance and sparkle. The American Idol 1 kids did so-so. I feel that Justin Guarini, American Idol's first runner up, didn't cut the mustard. He always sounds to me like he is forcing the song. Tamyra Gray oversings worse than I've ever heard anyone. I like her, nonetheless, but I'm not very impressed by her version of "Silent Night." Christina Christian sounds nothing like I remembered her, but she is my favorite American Idol 1 singer on this CD. She sounds very bluesy and mellow and I like the song. She is cute as a button too. All in all the CD is good, the duets are GREAT and the ensembles shine. I would reccomend the CD to anyone who loves and good Christmas song.
