This is a well written, informed and well balanced book. I recommend it to all people interested in Law and the workings of the US Supreme Court. Scalia is an interesting person, opinionated, arrogant, confident, intolerant, at times inconsistent but always interesting. If you are a committed conservative you will love him, if you care for a diverse and liberal society you will be scared. His alleged commitment to the original meaning of the Constitution only extends to interpretations he favors. He dimisses the extraordinary intervention of the Supreme Court in Bush V Gore in terms " get over it". It is a very good read and gives a fair account of Scalia's role and influence. Thought provoking

Unlike other portrayals of Justice Scalia, this one is fairly neutral.
