An American Werewolf In Hoboken by Dakota Cassidy

"Dakota never disappoints!" MaryJanice Davidson, NYT bestselling author.

Wooing a life mate can be hard enough for a wolf, wooing one while under the threat of a curse, even more so.

After being drugged and captured by Animal Control, Max Adams is on Hoboken's doggie death row when his life mate adopts him, takes him home, and promptly names him Fluffy.

Wooing a mate while pretending to be her dog? Nearly impossible.

While JC, in all her new-pet-owner-ness, feeds "Fluffy" vile kibble, dresses him in mortifying dog couture, and schedules to have his manhood removed, Max's human side gets to know JC. Especially in the biblical sense. Hopefully well enough to make her fall madly in love, mate with him under the full moon, and move with him to Cedar Glen to live happily-ever-after forever and ever amen. And fast.

Because the curse comes with a deadline…and the clock is ticking.

USA Today bestselling paranormal romantic comedy author Dakota Cassidy takes you on a laugh-out-loud roller-coaster ride from beginning to end, complete with werewolves, magic users, and shifters. Discover what happens when Max Adams, one strong alpha male, finds himself at the mercy of a woman who thinks he's a big fluffy dog in An American Werewolf In Hoboken. Book 1 in the bestselling Wolf Mates series.

Love, love love this book. As if a curse on his werewolf leniage wasn't enough, he's stuck pretending to be a dog named Fluffy, of all things. Lovable characters, witty dialogue, and hilarious one liners fill the first in Dakota Cassidy's Wolf Mates series. I can't wait to get my paws on the second.

This was a really fun, sweet story.I love the fact that even though it's a shifter story it doesn't have the same formula as so many of them do. I think I enjoyed this one so much because Max and JC were such caring people.I also enjoy the many hot and steamy love scenes!Yum!

I'm not a big paranormal reader, but mixing gorgeous committed partners- I'm starting to really enjoy them. This book definitely has many steamy scenes, but an interesting story that uses both character's views to tell a humorous situation:130 lb enormous terrifyimg wolf, named Fluffy by his owner and life mate. I'm looking forward to purchasing the next book.

OK premise - hunky cursed werewolf is masquerading as an oversized dirty mutt who gets picked up by animal control, then rescued from extermination by his life mate, who decides to name him Fluffy. He's protective. She has a cheating ex boyfriend. Dialogue is fine, but story arc is choppy. The set up of the premise is ok, but then the story jumps without explanation to very explicit sex scenes. Couldn't stay interested enough to find out if we ever learn details of the family curse. This might have been ok as a short story, but needs another rewrite to be worthy of staying with it to the end. I gave up after fifty pages.

A good read. The ending was a surprise. The love scenes were not for me but outside of that a good, quick read. ENJOY.

I loved this book. Every bit as good as everything else I've read that she's written. Can't wait to read the next one.

Just as well it was free. The story had potential, shape shifting fairly amusing. However, about one third of the text seems to be describing hero/heroine having hot sex - lots of details, and it got very repetitious after a few times. I basically skimmed through it to see the end and will probably delete it. Would definitely skip the next one in the series - shape shifter cat and dog as soul mates??

This was a cute, sassy, and funny light read. Dakota Cassidy's works are some of the first books I grab when I'm looking for something light, sweet, funny, and sexy.

It was a fun twist on cursed boyfriends and the boyfriend pretending to be two different men . Instead its the warewolf geting to know his mate in both his forms and only a month to make things right. She just doesnt know her dog is also her boy friend. I enjoyed the story .

This werewolf could really get in his own way. He meets his mate while he is locked in the pound, continues the charade to protect her delicate sensibilities and ends up risking his life because he waited too long to confess! Lots of fun, sexy and a complete story. Look forward to the next story.

This reminded me of Christine Feehan-- it has many of the same problems her books have, despite her massive fan base. The characters are engaging, but when you give what amounts to a play-by-play for each sexual encounter (of which there are far too many, since they stand in lieu of actual plot), it feels kinda pornographic rather than erotic. And sometimes funny--I laughed out loud the second time her nipples "scraped" against her blouse.
