Amish Faith: An Amish Christian Romance by Sarah Price

Based on her own experiences living among the Amish for over twenty-five years as well as her own Mennonite heritage, Sarah Price once again takes readers on an unforgettable journey to the heart of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Faith Landes and Rebecca Yoder were friends from a young age. The one was raised Mennonite while the other was raised Amish. Despite the differences in their upbringing, they remain life-long "bestest" friends. When tragedy strikes, a promise made in their youth is put to the test with the guiding hand of Rebecca. This remarkable story explores a once-in-a-lifetime friendship that changes lives throughout the Amish community.

What Readers Are Saying...
If you wanted to learn all you could about the Amish culture and traditions but only had time for one book, this would be the one.
Jean Marc

One of the most authentic Amish stories that I have read to date. Sarah Price continues to amaze me with how much she truly knows both the Amish culture and the religion. This type of knowledge can only come from someone who has immersed herself into their lives. Bravo for a job well done...again!

The Preiss family emigrated from Europe in 1705, settling in Pennsylvania as the area's first wave of Mennonite families. Sarah Price has always respected and honored her ancestors through exploration and research about her family history and their religion. At nineteen, she befriended an Amish family and lived on their farm throughout the years.

Twenty-five years later, she now splits her time between her husband and children in the NYC Metro area and a home that she shares with an Amish woman in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania where she retreats to reflect and write. As a masterful storyteller, Sarah Price prides herself on presenting an authentic Amish experience for her readers. Many of her stories are based on actual people she has met and her own experiences living among the Amish over the years.

Lovef this book! Cannot wait to read more by this author.

This was an enjoyable read, and very believable as the author has ties to the Amish. Would have give it a 5, but the book needed someone to proof read it. for example page 9 says Faith has brown eyes and page 11 says she has blue. There were several instances of repetition, such as where she describes the bright light of the lanterns...but these are minor, albeit irritating easily corrected flaws, and will not stop me from seeking more of her writings to read.

You will have a difficult time putting it down once you pick it up. The Amish faith and lifestyle are so clearly defined in this material. You become enthralled in their struggles but also educated about their choices. I and my family have traveled to Lancaster, PA many times for family vacations so I am well versed on the Amish customs but I must say as a result of this book, I am more educated in the inner workings of their community. Great read and great autSunraehor.....bravo!
