This is a nice Bible to compare with other Bible translations. By reading NASB and ESV along with Amplified you will have a clearer understanding of the text and the intent of the writer. I would also recommend "How to choose a translation for all its worth". There is so much that most people do not understand about the Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic text of the original manuscripts and how it is translated into the receptor language (English). The how to book above is a good starting point for study. You will enjoy the Amplified Bible even more when you understand how they put it together in our English.

Would be nice to search by chapter and verse; or even better with book chapter and verse, i.e - John 3:16... The Go To / Page / requires you to scroll from page 1 to 2203 on the small touch screen. It is difficult to scroll within 20 pages of desired page. In addition the title during scrolling remains "Revelation" instead of updating to the correct Book/Chapter name. The page scroll should adjust to a smaller range i.e. 5 books, 1 book... It may not be usable to follow along in service, unless there is a faster method to find the next verse. Updated one day later... Faster method is to add bookmarks throughout the Bible and use the bookmarks as a fast index... takes from 20 to 45 seconds to find a verse.

I was very pleased with the Bible itself, but the overview said that it had a concordance with 25,000 or more entries in it. That was very important to me, and when I downloaded it, the concordance was not there! It does NOT contain a concordance.

This electronic translation is exactly what I was expecting!!! The cross references are awesome!!! Definitely a wise investment:)

I thought that at this price, navigation would work flawlessly. Unfortunately that was not the case. I suggest one of the lower priced Bible available compared to this as this was too expensive.

The Amplified Bible is one of my most favorite versions to study and actually 'meditate' on. I appreciate the way it helps to develop revelation and expand my understanding of so much of the scriptures. Navigation isn't difficult, but I'm not one who discourages the desire in others to strive for improvement wherever possible.

The Amplified Bible is great for comparision. However, the eBook version is great on a PC, but extremely difficult to search on a PDA device such as a BlackBerry

I see a review mentioning lack of the advertised concordance. This is an error on the publisher's part, not on Nook/B&N's part. Even hard copy amplified bibles usually lack the concordance which is usually advertised on the outside of it. The Amplified version is very helpful for bible study even without the concordance. At my various bible study groups my friends very frequently ask me to read verses from amplified when they really want clarification of the scripture's full meaning.

The AMP bible is by far the best English translation that exists.

I have not been able to open this at all. I finally got it open with the help of my youngest son and it works great. I am very happy with the nook and the Amp. Bible. I would recommed this book to everyone.

Pastor and Sunday School Teacher. This is a very good supplement to my studies for sermon and lesson preparation.

I love the Amplified, but this version is just not that useful, especially since the "content slider" at the bottom always says: "Revelation" so you can't quickly tell where you are going to land in the contents. Not one you should take to Bible class. It's little more than a rough copy that's hard to navigate...needs work!

I have the "hard copy" (non-electronic version) of this book and it's wonderful! The only thing that I miss about the Nook version is the concordance. The concordance helps me to find subject-related verses in the Bible. Other than that, this is an excellent, easy-to-read book! The Good Book is a GREAT book! ;)

Not good for following along in a service. No contents page. Great translation just can't navigate to a particular verse.

I thought otherwise of not giving it five stars, but this version is very good.

Found it easy to navigate. Simple Touch Nook was a Christmas gift. I'm in my 60's and semi retired and electronic books are new to my way of reading enough said. The cross reference feature in this bible is a big plus when digging deeper in the Word of God. A good choice I belive in selection of an Amplified Bible.

I love this bible. Somtimes it's tough to understand but that's when asking the pastor comes in.
