I really wanted to like this book. The premise is smart, the world building clever and I like most of the characters. Where It loses me is the plot. It's slow and dragging, spending more than 300 pages going nowhere fast. It picks up near the end but, for me, a little too late. Maybe the sequel will keep that momentum going that the book had going at its end but I digress.
