First half of the book was very slow, had too much innuendo and not enough information. How could the townspeople know that Brynn and Flynn were shape shifters, but not know about others in top government positions?

Not bad. Needs a little more editing but overall a good book. Love all the charcters. Brynn is super badass, Finn is completely lovable. I laughed at times, cried a little and maybe secretly fist pumped a few times. On to the next book.

An Alpha's Choice is Book 2 in Carrie Ann Ryan's Talon Pack series. There were a lot of references to the past that I assume were back stories within the Redwood series. I plan on reading that series shortly but for now, not having read any of them didn't take anything anyway from this story and I was able to follow along easily. We meet both characters in the first book and learn quickly that Brynn is a bad @$$ dominant wolf who has been in limbo with no official role in her Talon pack. She was a very strong wolf who learned to open up and let out her feelings. Finn is the Heir to the Redwood Pack. Tough as nails and has no clue that Brynn is his mate. I enjoyed the interactions between the two as they dance around each other and then eventually share their feelings. This story had some very emotional moments. All in all, it was a great addition to the series and I look forward to reading Ryder's story next.

Talon Pack Book Two, Redwood Pack Book Ten Brynn Brentwood has been trying to ignore her feelings for the Redwood Pack's heir for months. After being in the public's eye for a year, she cannot keep it up. When Brynn tells Finn Jamenson that he is her mate, he cannot believe it. His wolf was damaged by the attack from his childhood, and he cannot feel the bond. How can they overcome the lack, when the world is watching? If you've been waiting for Brynn and Finn's story forever, now is their time!

WARNING: If you have not read the first book in this series DO NOT read my review, there is a spoiler from book one and I hate to ruin things for readers so BEWARE!!!! Please :) ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************ Ok so you have read book 1 in the Talon Pack so you know what happened?!?!?! If not DO NOT KEEP READING!!!! Well here we are after a devastating first book in a series where we found our characters facing the worst possible situation a den of shifters can face....HUMANS!!! they know about the shifters and now the Talon pack is doing what they can to make the "Reveal" a smooth transition for humans and wolves alike. Finn Redwood is broken, he knows it but he doesn't realize how this will affect his future, he has managed for 30 years and succeeded so far. But now he wants a woman that his wolf doesn't and that is not going to work, he is the heir of the Redwood pack. Can he just get a taste and move on?? Brynn knows her place in the pack even if the Goddess has not blessed her the way her brother and cousins have been blessed. She will do what needs to be done to protect her family and her pack, even if that means walking side by side with a broken wolf who can never be what she needs. When the world of 2 packs is on the line can these 2 wolves fight enough not just for their packs but for each other enough to find some peace in a world that has way to many questions of the future and not enough answers to their fate. An Alpha's Choice is riveting and filled with so much emotion. Carrie Ann plays beautifully with her readers deepest feelings that it makes us feel with her characters. I am always honored to have one of her books in my hands because I know that i will be in for an action packed, love filled ride that will always say with me as a reader.

An Alpha's Choice (Talon Pack, #2) by Carrie Ann Ryan Brynn Brentwood and Finn Jamenson are representing their packs to the public scrutiny of the humans. Pretty much the first word that came to my mind after reading this book was WOW. I loved this book. Carrie Ann Ryan does such a fantastic job of creating refreshing and exciting plots. Finn was introduced to us in the Redwood Pack Series as a baby. It is astounding everything he has been through and physically suffered. Now he is in his thirties and still the heir to his pack. He is incredibly strong and cares for his people. Because of his injury as a child, he has never been in tune with his wolf and has no idea what he is missing. Finn has quickly become one of my favorite characters. Brynn has also suffered greatly. She is much older than Finn at over one hundred and fifty. She lived through a horrible existence during her father’s reign as Alpha. Thankfully, she has a good relationship with her brothers who are now leaders of the Talon Pack. My heart went out to her. She thinks she is purposely being rejected by Finn and has been hurting for the past year. She also feels that she has no place in the pack. She is a strong character that is admirable. There is a lot of mystery in the story. The plot was interesting and believable. I love that important events from the Redwood Pack Series were pertinent to this novel. While Carrie Ann Ryan does an excellent job recapping significant events in prior novels, and this book would be easy to follow as a standalone, I recommend reading the Redwood Pack Series and the then Talon Pack Series. All the books are amazing, and the characters are so well developed I think you would have the ultimate reading experience. I love this series! Title : An Alpha's Choice Book 2 A Talon Pack Novel Author : Carrie Ann Ryan Reviewed by : Stephanie Jordan ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Ms. Ryan has written another hit series The Talon Pack. What's incredible you will see Ms. Ryan let the Redwood Pack characters come to life in The Talon Pack. For me this was AWESOME cause of my love of many in the Redwood Pack. Life was different for the Talon Pack, human knew where they lived and that they were wolves. But they didn't know about all the other Packs or there location. Brynn Brentwood, sister of the Talon Pack's Alpha and the Dominant Female in the Pack has a secret no one knows about and they can't know, it's to embarrassing. You see she found her mate her wolf acknowledged it but he didn't acknowledge Brynn. He's from another Pack and want nothing to do with Brynn. Finn Jamenson, Heir to the Redwood Pack was Kade and Melanie first born. Baby Finn was held by a demon, who intentionally broke every bone in his body so when the healer, Hannah started knitting all his bone back together something was off and Finn's wolf who was alive and still there would not talk to Finn again. Because this was just another secret being kept no one knew his wolf had problems. It's like the domino effect no one knew so no one could help consequently his wolf never told him that he was always with his mate. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.
