Overview

As the Abominable armies march unchecked into Artairian lands with a terrifying new power at their helm, Artaire’s protectors must once again align themselves with one another if they are to save the world they love.

With only a strange new companion to travel with, one who also carries another of Andrina’s shards, Corey and Willa return to Artaire in order to find the remaining two shards so they can reassemble the final weapon in which to vanquish the near-overwhelming armies of the Abominables.

Even as they pledge their allegiance to the only faction willing to confront the truth, the two will come uncomfortably close to their greatest fears. While Willa struggles with her own destiny and faces a choice that will change the course of history, Corey finds herself drawn to the mysterious man they saved from Kiziah and discovers the overwhelming burden of magic.

In the second installment of the Artairian Trilogy, an epic battle will ravage Artaire and its elements in a struggle for the very heart of it.

About the Author

I have written stories my entire life. Most of them still remain in my head, but some have found their way to the ears of others. As a teenager, I remember reading excerpts of my latest 'book' to my family and friends over the phone (how loyal you were!), and as an adult, stealing away those few minutes between the kids' bedtime and my own to finish my first official novel, The Shards of Andrina.

I grew up a in a small town in Virginia - the part of the state that has a southern accent - and loved it so much that I chose to remain here after graduating from Virginia Tech in 2003. Living in the wooded Blue Ridge Mountains still fuels a vivid imagination that sometimes plagues me with its insistence to be heard. So I have finally listened and shared some of the magical world that occupies my thoughts, and even as I sit back and sigh with the satisfaction of finally having room in my head, more stories rush to fill it back up.

And such is my life in the quiet place that I live, surrounded by woods on all sides and devastatingly handsome men - my wonderful husband and two adorable sons.
