Ancient Prayer: Channeling Your Faith 365 Days of the Year based on 0 ratings. 5 reviews.
Of the more beautiful books on faith I've ever read. I'm not a praying woman, but this has become my prayer book now.
I purchased Ancient Prayer because the author is a friend and I wanted to be supportive. I'm not a prayerful person, though I do consider myself spiritual. But upon opening the book, I found myself completely drawn in by the meticulous description of how different prayers can and have been used, and by the way the prayers are put into the context of everyday life.
I did not buy this book for myself. My friend miscarried and I could not think of one thing to cheer her up. I saw this book at a Barnes and Nobel storeand something about the cover made me pick it up. I felt better and think it will make my friend feel better too. So I'm not sure if this is a full review but I never felt that a book touched me immediately when I wasn't even buying it for myself. That's why I only gave it four stars instead of five I don't think I read enough of it even though I flipped through. I'll probably buy one for my mom also.
Lovely book. I am not a religious person, but I am spiritual in some ways. I found this book to be a lovely way to spend a few moments trying to decompress or to celebrate feeling good. Good job by the author.
