Most CDs I buy have at least one song I skip when listening to, but not this one. I can listen to Andy Grammer's self-titled debut all the way through without even thinking about wanting to skip a song. Quite a few of his songs are so catchy they will get stuck in your head. My favorite songs on the album are You Should Know Better, Slow, Fine By Me, and Miss Me. Not only does he have a good voice, but he also has great lyrics. You can tell Andy Grammer is a very positive person listening to this album.

Absolutely wonderful, down-to-earth, soul felt songs. Some make you happy, others just make you think and enjoy them.

Sick of the synths, tired of the autotune and people not actually having talent at all? Than Andy is the guy for you. Andy Grammer has not failed to deliver. If you like John Mayer, Jason Mraz, The Fray or Maroon 5. From the frist track and first single of this album Keep Your Head Up it boasts the positive message of staying positive even when times get hard which was written one day after Andy did not sell any C.Ds when he was still performing on the Santa Monica Promenade. This album continues with the second track Fine By Me another upbeat track that talks about going through a relationship, with lyrics like "It's fine by me if you never leave." Some other stand out tracks on this album are Miss Me, which is featured on his EP and a single of the week on iTunes. This is a song about a broken relationship where Grammer is telling the one who hurt him how she'll eventually regret it one day. The track Miss Me is full of loud guitars and soaring vocals. Don't worry, it gets better, tacks like Slow talk about Andy looking to start a relationship with someone who has been hurt but promising her that he won't be the same so that's why they shouldn't take it slow. His voice is fantastic in this song and the music is incredible. You Should Know Better is another track about a failed relationship but it is not negative in the least and will help any broken heart recover. Lunatic was written by Andy when everyone was telling him that his dreams were pointless. The lyrics are "you can do this, you are not a lunatic, crazy would be changing your mind." This is a song for anyone who feels like they need to give up on their dreams but this will reassure them that you shouldn't give up no matter what. Another stand out track on this album is Ladies, which was written for his mother who passed away in 2007 from breast cancer. He wrote the song to show how guys need to respect women which is something his mom told him he had to do before she died. This one of the few songs out there that has such a strong message as this one. A really awesome track to conclude the album is Biggest Man in L.A which Andy wrote on the street about all of the things he witnessed and how when he would play and the crowd would gather around him that he felt like the biggest man in L.A. Hope this review will persuade you to purchase this album!
