Overview

Charity O'Malley is about to break the law of the land in order to follow her dreams. They'll call her a whisper sister. A tarnished female. A Jezebel. As a woman who wants to shape her own destiny, she's about to reopen her father's speakeasy, but Big Mike O'Malley reaches out from the grave to save his recalcitrant daughter from her folly.

Gabriel Cavelli, the Harley-riding bad boy of the Cavelli family, has to honor a deathbed promise to a friend to look out for his young, educated-out-east daughter. Gabe, one of the three Cavelli boys named--or rather misnamed--after archangels, finds himself caught as he tries to rescue an unwilling damsel in distress from a crooked Prohibition man.

As more threats unravel, old enemies come out of the shadows and force Charity and Gabe to band together against decades-old dark secrets--and find safety in each other's arms.

Though this book can be read as a standalone, it truly is a Cavelli Angel fan’s delight. Have you ever thought how hard it is to write books in a series and keep them all interesting and well written? Well, when you read Russo’s Cavelli Angel series, she makes it seem so easy. The author knows the time period and vintage Chicago extremely well. She provides detailed historical descriptions, charismatic characters, and a plot that keeps you guessing until the very end. Angel Lost, Angel Found by Annalisa Russo is a delight for lovers of suspenseful romance and historical fiction. Set in the 1920’s, this novel is the third in the captivating Cavelli Angel Saga. The heroine of the book, Charity O’Malley is breaking the law to follow her dreams when she reopens her deceased father’s speakeasy. Gabriel, the youngest Cavelli brother, is a Harley-riding bad boy who finds himself responsible for Charity after he makes a death-bed promise to her father. But Charity and Gabe are like oil and water and when a crooked prohibition man and other dark secrets from the past creep up, they are forced to either join together or allow their disdain for each other to make them collateral damage. Overall, this book does not disappoint and I highly recommend it. The story is very captivating and moves quickly. I had a hard time setting it down. In the words of one of the characters, “What a tangled web, it be.”
