I wish this book would have been around when I was a young adult. After reading this, it helped me understand the things that I went through as a teenager. C.J. is a wonderful man and author. Still waiting for the next one!

Just read this one...you will end up being inspired not only by the story itself but by the use of the language as well.

This was not a very inspiring book. It in fact was a very dark & depressing book. One that I would not share with anyone. With the description of it being 'inspirational' I was ready to read it. Unfortunately, it was not what I thought it would be.

Anyone who deals with teenagers should read this book! As a parent and a teacher, I received a first-hand look into the head of a troubled teen, and received insight and inspiration to help me become better at both. The raw honesty and powerful feelings that are captured in this novel should be on every high school reading list! C.J., you are on your way! Thanks for sharing this awesome story.

This book is one of the books that you do not want to put down. You want to continue reading it until you find out what is going to happen next. The beginning of it is kind of harsh but has a beautiful ending. It is very inspiring for those who have no hope or know what the future has in store for them. This book has all the emotions in it. One moment your heart will be pounding and the next you will feel joy or sadness. You feel like you are part of this book and can relate to some of it.

This is a tragic book of loss, cutting, and retribution. The character of Simon is so lifelike and real that you can't help but feel pity for him, and at the same time happiness for him. The metaphors and discriptive language used by the author captivates the readers imagination and holds it within the story with a vice like grip. I love this book.
