What a great story! This is a great page turner for any reader! Angie, is scouting college's that have offered her a scholarship in athletics and when her parents and her are headed home, they wind up in flash flood waters. Angie wakes up in a tree approximately 140 years in the past! There is no sign of her parents or the car they were driving. She tries to be strong and independent and walks all the way from Missouri to Oregon with a wagon train that her rescuers are with! This is a great story with good strong characters! The last thing Angie ever expected to do was fall in love before the age of 18. There is a ton of adventure in this l wonderful read!

The most enjoyment I recieved from reading this book was the underlying Oregon Trail aspect. There wasn't a lot of detail but still enough to learn how it could have been for the characters in this story. It has a very sweet tale of love, loss and friendship. I wanted the story to flow more. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it was somewhat choppy. I think transitions could have been fleshed out with more detail, thus become smoother. In a way, it read sort of like an attempt from a beginning writer or like someones journal. The story was interesting enough to finish and the end was an ending, yet gave a hook for it to continue of you bought the next book. I doubt I will. Thank you for this free book from B & N. I appreciate discovering new authors without the risk to my pocketbook. Since I began using my Nook, there are many books I would not have risked spending money on, that I have now read with new genres, new authors and more.
