A Note from Paige Tyler:

ANIMAL ATTRACTION was originally published in 2008. It was an EPIC Award Finalist, was chosen as BEST BOOK of 2008 at Long and Short Reviews, and received amazing reviews. When I got the rights back from the publisher a little while ago, I decided to revise and rework the story, adding in new characters, a new story arc, and more suspense, action and adventure, which turned the original novella into a full-length novel, and I think made it even better. Hope you enjoy it!

Not only are werewolves real, but they're damn hunky, too.

Frustrated when none of the real newspapers will hire her as a reporter, Eliza Bradley takes the only job she can get--at a paranormal magazine. Her first assignment takes her to Fairbanks, Alaska to investigate the rumors that a werewolf has killed two local men.

When she meets Hunter McCall, a local college professor and an expert on wolves, she finds herself irresistibly drawn to him and ends up spending more time in his bed than worrying about werewolves. That's when Eliza finds out Hunter isn't just an animal in the sack, he's an animal out of it, too--of the werewolf variety. Talk about a complicated relationship.

But Eliza can't dwell on Hunter's little shapeshifting issues for long. There's another werewolf out there with a taste for human blood, and she and Hunter are the only ones who can stop him. If they don't, they're likely to become his next victims.

I started reading Paige Tyler when she was writing spanking romances . Then I read a few of her Paranormal books like Dead Sexy, Vampire 101 and  Her Perfect Mate and they were elaborate thrillers and now I read Animal Attraction ( Alaskan Werewolves Book 1) and this story line is totally awesome. Eliza gets a job on a Paranormal Magazine and goes to Alaska with a photographer to research and write a story on Werewolves who attacked and killed several people.  She turns to Hunter, a professor of wolves and their culture, and they feel an instant attraction. Hunter has one little secret that he doesn't share and that is that he is a Werewolve but love will overcome these pesky little details. There is still a rouge killer Werewolve on the loose and he would love to kill Eliza and Hunter. There is some spanking and it's the erotic sexy kind and it's so hot it could melt your panties. Bravo Paige, more please.

I didn't realize I had this book in my stockpile of books till 2 days ago. Man oh man am I glad I decided to read it. It was originally released in 2008 (when in won an EPIC Award Finalist and was chosen as Bes Book of 2008 at Long and Short Reviews) and reworked in 2014. I don't know how the original read but the revised version is AMAZING. Once I started reading it around 10:30pm I just couldn't put it down till 5am when I finished it. We have a young reporter out to prove herself and in trying to assert herself gets fired. Without the experience she needs she is only able to get a job at a "paranormal" paper; which is tough as she doesn't believe in the sort of stuff, but a job is a job and she needs it. I don't do spoilers so it's going to be hard for me to get you excited about this book without giving up it's truly great story. She heads to Alaska to investigate a tip about "werewolf" involved killing. While there she sees and is instantly sensually aroused by a man sitting next to table during the first night. She meets the man who sent the paper the tip, saying he had evidence of the werewolf; a man she feels is one of those crazy "X-Files, Truth is Out There" people. This leads to meeting and talking with police and a local professor and expert on wolves, which turns out to be the gorgeous guy from the restaurant. Welllll, we have secrets, mysteries, horrendous murders, new friendships, and hot, erotic, explosive, they've never felt like this before sex. I have to tell you this story had me itching to get to the end to find out what the hell was going to happen next, and then when I got there, I said NOOOO don't end yet. Oh yes, I recommend this book to all lovers of paranormal erotic romance, packed with thrills and chills.

This is the second paranormal book by Paige Tyler that I have read. Animal Attraction has it all, humor, mystery, sex, and great writing.Paige puts a different take on the werewolf story and i really enjoyed that.Take a paranormal reporter who doesn't believe in the supernatural and a expert on wolves who happens to be a werewolf ,put them in Alaska and together they are hot enough to melt the snow.Oh yeah we don't wanna forget about the crazy werewolf in the story.I was pulled into the story from the beginning and enjoyed it to the end. The ending was all wrapped up neatly so I'm not sure if there are anymore to this, but i would definitely get them if there are. If you enjoy paranormal books do not pass this one up

Animal Attraction has been revamped and re-released and I found it to be a highly enjoyable tale! This one has everything I have came to expect from Paige's contemporary erotica tales, throw in paranormal creatures and a whole new mythology and it's definitely one to watch. The heat level was scorching and the characters where interesting, I would definitely read more set in the series!

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 3 1/2 REVIEW: Animal Attraction the re-release of Paige Tyler’s first book in her Alaskan Werewolf series.   Being unemployed sucks.  That is how Eliza ends up finding herself in the middle of Alaska trying to track down a killer werewolf.  Of course Eliza doesn’t believe in such things which makes working for a Paranormal newspaper a little hard.  But once she is on the trail Eliza realized that there is much more to this story then just the paranormal.   So with the help of the hunky professor and wolf expert Hunter McCall, Eliza is going to solve this case even if it kills her.   I enjoyed this book.  I really like how Eliza’s mind worked and her openness to the paranormal world.   And Hunter was just great.  I really enjoyed the first interaction with Hunter and Eliza.  Who knew ketchup could lead to true love.  What to know what I am talking about?  You need to pick up a copy of Animal Attraction and find out for yourself.  Disclaimer:  I received a complimentary copy of the book from Paige Tyler in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.

Animal Attraction by Paige Tyler is her first book in her Alaskan Werewolf series.  In Animal Attraction, Eliza Bradley wants to be a journalist but instead has worked as a fact checker for the last four years. Since the current newspaper Eliza works for is unwilling to promote her, Eliza finds a job at a local paranormal magazine. Eliza doesn't believe in the paranormal but is willing to do whatever she can to become a journalist.  Eliza's first assignment is follow-up on a werewolf sighting in Alaska. With her photographer Alex in tow, Eliza heads to Alaska. In Alaska, Eliza is skeptical but keeps an open mind when interviewing Nate, the local who reported the werewolf sighting.  Nate is a supporting character but he has a small side story going on which I really enjoyed.  The main hero is Hunter McCall, local college professor and secret werewolf.  Eliza and Hunter instantly click and I found both characters really interesting and enjoyable.  They keep secrets from each other in the beginning but when the truth comes out neither get mad at each other, which I found a refreshing change cause frankly I get tired of stories where the characters spend half the story getting mad over secrets.  Overall the story had an interesting story line, great characters, and some very hot bedroom scenes. Oh and my personal favorite: a spanking scene.  Since I am very fond of several of Paige's novellas that feature spanking I couldn't help but smile when I read that scene. Highly recommend this book!
