This book is about behavior and morals seen through the eyes of a child and her toy animals.
The beginning has a little girl looking for her Dragon and eventually seeing him again at the Animal Kingdom Party.
The sequence entitled "The Masquerade Ball" involves acceptance of someone who is different. "Henrietta and the Froggy" talks about working hard to do good things for other people, and "Reform of Hippo" is about the schoolyard bully.
All of these characters eventually get together at the "Animal Kingdom Party" in New York.
