In Anna-Lena's Troll, a girl sends a nasty letter to Santa because she didn't get the gift she wanted. The elves at the toy factory are irritated by Kalle, a troll in their midst, so bundle him up and send him as a prank. When he arrives, trouble begins. Each of the Sachs daughters has her own story in this collection: Belinda's about her eye glasses, Cynthia about her favorite doll Baby Suzy. Other sgtories related to Christmas are supplemented by new versions of classic fairy tales intended to be read at two levels: the child and the parent reading the story aloud.
