We have a privilege of reading a real diary by a real girl during a real depressing time. I feel completely honored as Anne mentioned to have known the REAL her. It is uncanny at the end also how she saw Lies just like in her dream. Look for that. Yes, I will admit at times the diary is just lenghthy details but try getting into the book, pretending you are there, look for deeper meaning, pretend you were her and what you would do, picture the details in your mind, etc. because this is an absolute must-read. It also made me cry how human beings were treated. This book is truth.

I thought this book told a tale of the secretive life lived by only few. It is an amazing story of courage and perserverence.
