Caldwell Lee, The Poet Caldwell Lee was born on March 31 in southern Maryland. Often called the pride of Port Tobacco, and the Port Tobacco Poet, Lee was a model student throughout his school years. Lee renowned as the perennial and prolific American poet Caldwell Lee attended Port Tobacco elementary school. After being a scholar athlete, model student and graduating from high school, Lee continued school life at two universities. After leaving campus life, Lee was contracted by Dorrance publishing to write his first book of poetry; Caldwell Lee: The Poet to Be: The Forthright Omnipotence Era.
