Riveting, Exciting, Warm and Human story of Action, Adventure and Love This is a human story of a soldier struggling with his life, deployments, post-traumatic-stress-disorder, and love. He is a human man, flawed, imperfect, but dedicated and honest. As a soldier, he knows the world of war, and he's good at it. As a man, he falls in love, but that love is not fulfilled. He struggles with the loss of that love, and with his own self. With the loss of his men in combat, and the heroism of his friends. He himself is a hero, but he does not see himself as such. To him others are why he does what he does - for them. Not for him. In this book a story of a human being unfolds through conflict, loss, sadness, heroism, war, love, and redemption. In the end, the main character, Ryan, does find that redemption. He finds the kind of love that no tough man would have ever thought possible. It's a gripping story of great action, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, but always true to that man's life, and the reason for it - which he discovers for himself in the end. Even tough soldiers are human. They can love, hope, dream, and cry. It's a great book.
