Get ready to laugh out loud, swoon, and fall in love with this new, fun, and sexy stand-alone novel from New York Times bestselling author Aleatha Romig. Demonstrating her versatility in writing, Aleatha revisits her lighter side that you loved in PLUS ONE.
A complete stand-alone, ANOTHER ONE is the next big summer hit.
Trevor Willis is sexy, sweet, and oh so fun. He's also my best friend's brother-in-law. That should mean he's off-limits, or that I should be off-limits to him.
Someone probably should have told us that before my best friend married his brother, before the morning of the wedding when we woke in each other's arms with gaping holes in my memory.
The hilarious truth behind our crazy, secret adventure secured this handsome, off-limits man in my heart. But alas, life goes on. After our one secret night, we went back to our lives--our hardworking, solitary lives.
And then it happened.
My phone began to buzz. Each night with thousands of miles between us, we laughed, talked, and shared. And then, the phone stopped ringing.
Before it did, I knew one thing...
Our secret one had bloomed and blossomed, and now that our circumstances have changed I want another one!
Shana Price is that one woman. You know, the one who suddenly makes the world more than a place to work, but also a place to live. Usually shy and awkward, in her presence I want to be more--I am more. I don't even have to try.
She's my one. I knew it the moment I first met her. What followed simply confirmed it.
The problem is the little hassle of the thousands of miles between us.
I tried to make it work, but each phone call made it harder. (Yes, that is a pun) I couldn't take it any more--and she became the one who got away.
Now, everything has changed.
Shana is back in the United States--all I have to do is make her see that her job isn't the only reason to stay.
That shouldn't be a problem, right?
From a secret one to another one!
Try Aleatha's lighter side for a guaranteed smile--the perfect getaway.
Have you been Aleatha'd?
Aleatha's "Lighter Ones" are all stand alone lighter romances guaranteed to make you smile, possibly shed a tear, and definitely enjoy the ride! They may be read in any order.

If you read Plus One, you'll get to meet Trevor and Shana in Duncan and Kimbra's book (and if you can, do yourself a favor and get their book. It's so good!!). If you didn't get a chance to read it, you need to know that Trevor is Duncan's brother and Shana is Kimbra's bff. Trevor and Shana meet a day before Duncan and Kimbra's wedding, and they just hit it off. They had great chemistry, they're so much fun, and you fall in love with them as fast as they fall in love with each other. But, there's this little thing about them living in different countries that ruins all the fun. They tried to keep in touch, but it eventually got to difficult, specially when they only spent a weekend together. Thankfully, destiny finds a way to get them back together in New York and gives them another chance. Trevor is back in New York. He's a total hottie. Sexy, funny, smart... the whole package. He's a great guy, and he can't thank faith enough when, during a bachelor party, he runs into Shana. That is it for him, he's made his desicion and he's not willing to let her go again. Shana is blissfully happy to meet Trevor again, but not so sure about having a relationship with him. Why? Because she's not thinking straight (of course). She's only in New York for a brief time, actually because of a shot at having a great promotion that goes with her coming back to The States. She's happy in London but misses her family and friends... and when she finds Trevor she can't be happier. She's a smart, beautiful girl, and she's so attracted to him. Her concern is that she'll get involved with him and somehow loose herself, she clearly underestimated Trevor since the beginning. But it will not take her long to realize that there's no way for them to be apart. This book made me smile and laugh all over the place. You don't need to read the previous book to understand it, although I highly recommend that you do. Trevor and Shana are a great couple. Their interactions are real, sexy, and sometimes hilarious. They're both characters you love from the beginning. The only reason they don't think of themselves in the long term is because they're not currently living in the same city... but that might be resolved if Shana gets a new position in New York. The thing is, that's not likely to happen after she makes some hard decisions at work to save the day. This is a GREAT book that you're going to love.
Shana works in London but has to go back to NY to help another depart out. When she bumps in to Trevor again they start their relationship off but can they make it work long distance.
Love is transforming and transcending, which means that regardless of distance, regardless of obstacles, and regardless of time apart, that if two people long for another chance…another day…another one of everything that they’ve experienced together, it will happen and it will alter than lives in all of the best ways. For Shana Price and Trevor Willis, one secret night together solidified a bond that refused to weaken despite the many miles between them, so when the opportunity presented itself for Shana and Trevor to have a second chance at what they knew was a connection worth the risks…worth the life altering decisions that would need to be made in order to give them both what they want - another day…week…month…year to be together, making their first night together, just one of many to come for the rest of their lives. I’m quite the sappy romance reader because I adore second chance romance stories. There’s just something about a lost love getting another opportunity, and even though Shana and Trevor only spent one night together and then attempted to stay in touch, with little success, it was only a matter of time until a fated reunion gave them what they’ve both wanted since they said goodbye after an evening spent getting to know each other’s bodies - another one or hundreds of ones together. Another One is a sweet and light-hearted romance - one that illustrates the power of attraction and the power of someone finding his/her ‘one,’ and what that means despite everything that stands in their way. I love Aleatha Romig’s lighter side and the fact that she is so diversified in her writing ability speaks to a writer who understands the craft and all of its possibilities. Now if I can only get up the courage to read her darker side! 4 Poison Apples
Book 2 in the Lighter Ones Series from Aleatha, can be read as a standalone, and its a lovely, sweet romantic read, a great RomCom to add to your collection!! I was looking forward to reading about Trevor and Shana after their 'one night' and keeping it a secret. I was really rooting for them, it seemed like a perfect relationship. Trevor was a real gentleman, sweet and sexy, a little awkward and nerdy, insecure even, but he really let his dominant side come out with Shana and it was very swoon-worthy indeed!! Shana was intelligent, beautiful, strong and sassy, knew where she wanted her career to go and was loving and loyal to her friends, but was scared of a relationship with Trevor and quite insecure about it. The chemistry and the banter between these two was just adorable. Add this to the other characters in the book which added a real depth to the reading, Stephen being an absolute darling, and you have a wonderful RomCom here with just the right amount of sweet, funny and sexy to make it a really enjoyable read!!
Sitting in the sun reading a lighter romance. What could be better? Reading about Shana and Trevor thats what! I loved the novella secret one which I believe is included in this when you buy. Shana and Trevors' story is of two people who just haven't found that one. A chance meeting ,a separation and another chance meeting when the stars are aligned have you wishing they are going to get it together. Everything is against them, whilst also being for them. Those unfamiliar with Aleathas darker side will expect there to be twists and turns along the way and you are not disappointed. Leaving you with a big smile of satisfaction.Aleatha has done it again. I want me a Trevor. 5 fab stars
Aleatha Romig does it again, I really enjoyed this story. This can be read as a standalone, but there is a free prequel called The Secret One which is Trevor and Shana’s meeting at Trevor’s brother Duncan’s wedding to Kimbra Shana’s best friend. It’s a good addition to the story, but events in this book take place over a year later and can be picked up easily. Shana works for Saks, but is based in London. The chance to run the Lingerie Show for buyers in New York comes up for Shana and her assistant Stephen. Trevor is now living in New York, and is bowled over when he sees Shana, and all their feelings for each other come back full force, and they spent all their free time together. This is hot and sexy, and they are great together. This is an entertaining love affair between two people, Shana and Trevor. This is another winner for me, as I loved both characters from the start, so it was entertaining to enjoy their journey to their happily ever after. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Loved this sweet, light-hearted romance. Another One by Aleatha Romig is, in the words of the author a sweet, lighter side of her writing. As this is shamefully my first book by her, I couldn't agree or disagree, but what I can tell you is this. I loved it. Shana and Trevor's story left me with a huge smile on my face and feeling truly uplifted and happy. This is definitely not a dark romance, or even your angst driven tale. It was just super sweet, gentle, warm and a delight to read. Both characters were honest about their feelings for each other. Trevor was hot and sexy in a nerdy kind of way. He professes to be shy around women but the moment he and Shana connect he becomes the man he's always wanted to be. Unfortunately, their encounter is on the night before Trevor's brother gets married and due to a series of events, he and Shana have to pretend to not know one another. They were like ships passing in the night and after the wedding, they went back to their own lives. Trevor in Washington state and Shana in London, England. A year later, fate brings them back together at a fashion show in New York. Will they finally have a chance to get to know each other? This really was a fun, fast-paced, but realistic story, I loved that they didn't hide their feelings from each other. There was no angst other than for decisions having to be made about Shana's job in London. I enjoyed getting to know these two and the secondary characters whom I've yet to read, but I will be fixing that error shortly.
Another One is a light-hearted, fun and sweet read. It's centred around Trevor and Shana who met at his brother's and her best friend's wedding. There's mutual attraction but things don't really take off between them until they reconnect. I loved the fact that their story was cute which made for easy reading. I finished it in a few hours. I recommend it to those looking for a fun, light story. ARC provided by author in exchange for a honest review
This is a new to me author, but one I've heard a lot about (all good things!) I have to say, I totally loved it! It was a fun, light-hearted romance, that kept me interested from beginning to end. I didn't think it was possible, but this book had both the insta love that draws me in, as well as the slow burn connection that keeps me coming back for more! This book begins with a flash back, to the wedding, of Shana's best friend. There, she meets a man, who makes a definite impression on her. After, she goes back home to London, and he heads to Washington State. They try to keep in touch, but that doesn't last. A year later, Shana is in NYC for work, and they run into each other again. I love how gentlemanly and supportive Trevor is! He and Shana are perfect together! Their instant connection both times they met was amazing. Their chemistry set the pages on fire, and hooked me right from the beginning. I couldn't put it down! This book was fabulous, and I'd recommend it to anyone that is looking for something just a little bit different.
Romig takes her cues from Hollywood romance classics and expands on the warm and fuzzies. Trevor and Shana are Sleepless in Seattle material. Another One brings the sweet with the swoon. Shana and Trevor have a connection but no time to explore it. One night and two hearts mark the beginning of something special. Will that one night equal a lifetime?
