About the Author

I'm a lover of all things books, a hopeless romantic, and have always had a passion for writing. Between being a sappy romantic, my love of an HEA, my crazy imagination, and ok, let's be real, my dirty mind, I fell easily into writing romance.

I'm a huge baseball fan and yet, a complete girly, girl. I'm an obsessive reader and have a slight (hahaha! Slight? Yeah, right) addiction to signed books.

I'm married to my very own book boyfriend, an alpha male with a sexy, sweet side. He is the best inspiration, my biggest supporter and the love of my life. He is also incredibly patient and understanding about the fact that he has to fight the voices in my head for my attention.

I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoyed writing them!

Family, love, dedication and making dreams come true are what make up this book. Brooklyn is not only beautiful but she is a very talented singer/musician with a devotion to her challenged sister that is hard to come by. Levi Matthews is a rock star extraordinaire who is beyond most women’s dreams and who has his sights set on Brooklyn as she auditions for a spot with the infamous rock band, Stone Butterfly. Brooklyn’s main concern is and always has been what is best for her developmentally challenged sister, Baylee. Levi is determined to make Brooklyn go on a date with him but she makes it hard on Levi by not saying yes to the date. This story will show you how deep love and devotion can go but will surprise the h*ll out of you with some of the twists and turns Ms. Christensen takes you through. I’m looking forward to the next book in the Stone Butterfly series. I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley for a freely given and honest review.

Another Postcard is a great way to start out the Stone Butterfly Rockstars series. The characters are easy to care about and fall for. Brooklyn Hawk has a big heart and talent. She keeps those she cares about close to her heart. She's cautious when it comes to trusting others. Her passion and love for music is admirable. I'm surprised at how quick she can forgive. Levi Matthews is the lead singer for the rock band. He's determined and passionate. I love that he never gave up on asking Brooklyn out, no matter how many times she turned him down. Being in the limelight, they don't always get to keep their personal lives private. There's always a risk of something come in between them. There were parts in this story that I did not expect. Due to the amount of description put into the settings, there are parts of the story that seem slow. Those parts were more difficult to keep my interest. It wasn't a story I could read straight through to the end. I loved the rest of the band. I can't wait to hear their own stories, especially Sasha. The band certainly feels more like a family than just band members or co-workers. The story was a great start of the series. I can't wait for more. I received this book as an Advance Readers Copy. All opinions are my own.

Since Sheryl is one of the backup singers for Stone Butterfly announced she was pregnant they band knew they would have to replace her eventually. The more singers a band has the fuller the sound. They had six voices even though they weren’t needed all the time they were permanent members of the band. Stone Butterfly was a multi platinum Grammy winning rock band. Sasha was keyboardist, Matteo/Teo, Simon, and Levi. Noah became the manager Kristi and now Brooklynn to replace Sheryl even if only temporarily. Brooklyn was one of the most sought after singers in the industry. Levi had also heard Brooklyn was a classically trained pianist. Brooklyn was introduced to Levi last he was the lead singer, he got up to shake Brooklyn’s hand and when their skin touched felt a spark between them. Levi’s aquamarine eyes darkened with heat and hunger. There was intense chemistry between them. Brooklyn wanted to work with them because of the way Sheryl talked about the band they were a family. Something Brooklyn craved , a normalcy she had never really known but always wanted to experience. She did have that growing up her parents weren’t fit enough to take care of themselves much less a kid. When Brooklyn was seventeen her mother died and her father went to prison. Brooklyn’s thirteen year old sister Baylee and her went into the foster care system. They were in the same time but Baylee was in a special home as when Baylee hit her preteens her mental growth slowed down and her maturity level never caught up to her age. Baylee would always need a certain level of care. Then one day Brooklyn got a call from the manager of a rising young pop star and wanted Brooklyn to back her up on the pop star’s next album. With recommendations from the singer Brooklyn’s career took off. Levi felt Brooklyn was a walking wet dream and he wanted her. Levi had never been so attracted to a woman before. Brooklyn had a reputation of being able to pick up just about anything quickly with flare and precision. She had perfect pitch and had a talent of spitting back whatever she heard with total accuracy. But she also made everything hers which is a true talent. Levi didn’t bring women to stay with him ever. It was his sanctuary, where he did all his writing. Then Levi realized there was a deeper connection than just lust between Brooklyn and himself. He had a desire to know Brooklyn, to simply be with her. Music was the most important thing to Levi and girls weren’t willing to settle for that. He had tried a relationship at the beginning of his career and it had a disastrous ending. I have a new favorite romance book and this story is it. It was excellent I didn’t want to put it down and I am on vacation in Greece not easy. But I took every extra moment I was reading I loved the plot. I loved the way the band was like a family and they really cared about each other as a family. I felt so bad when Brooklyn was so hurt by Baylee. This story is an all around good read. It talks of writing songs and all it takes into being a good close band. I was rooting for Levi and Brooklyn and loved how Levi was with Baylee right through the end. And how Levi took care of all the financials y=that were required for Baylee’s care even if Brooklyn wasn’t with Levi right then. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend.

4 “Rock God” Stars Get ready to get your socks rocked off! If there’s one thing I know, is that Ms. Christensen knows how to write OTT alpha males and insta-love like no other. Even though rock-stars and the music business is not my favorite setting for a romance, I absolutely adored Another Postcard. Levi is the hunky lead for the band, Stone Butterfly, a worldwide music sensation. Being in desperate need of a new backup singer they find themselves blown away by Brooklynn’s incredible talent. While she is of some renown and has worked with lots of people in studios she’s never toured nor belonged to a band because of her circumstances. Now that they are sharing a mic, Levi and Brooklynn’s chemistry is off the charts hot, as are the songs they sing and write together. Although Brooklynn tries to resist his charms she eventually falls. Levi was the perfect OTT alpha male: two seconds in her presence was all it took for him to know she was the one for him. Once he knew, he stopped at nothing to make her his. He was bossy, had one really dirty mouth and all the skills needed both on and off the stage. It took a bit more work to come to love Brooklyn as much. She was a little standoffish at first, but eventually relaxed enough to let Levi and everyone else in. That’s when we all got the chance to get to know her, too. She was incredibly talented, down to earth and devoted to her sister’s wellbeing. Witnessing her sacrifices to ensure her sister had the best life she could was remarkable. I have to confess that the more technical aspects of the music were over my head. I’m sure that for someone more musically knowledgeable it will add another layer of goodness. With a great group of supporting characters that I just can’t wait to see fall in love too, Another Postcard had a great balance between romance, sexy shenanigans (which are really freaking hot), some suspense and intrigue. I had a fantastic time reading it and put a smile on my face from start to finish. I want more, more, more! *I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book*

I adore Elle Christensen and have been a fan of her writing for sometime now. So, when I heard about Another Postcard, I was super excited and couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Another Postcard follows the story of Brooklyn and Levi. From the moment you pick up this book, you are sucked into the story, the music and the band. I was totally captivated and couldn’t wait to read more. Now, I will be the first to admit, Levi and Brooklyn’s story is one of insta-love. I got a huge kick out of seeing Levi’s alpha mindset take over. He knew from the moment that he met Brooklyn that she was his and he wasn’t going to stop until he had her. And Brooklyn, not only did she have a good head on her shoulders, but she was an incredibly talented musician. I love that despite her intense connection with Levi, she didn’t give in straight away. She made him work for what he wanted and couldn’t help but fall for the pull of Levi. Overall, I thought this book was a great read. I think this new series is off to a wonderful start and I’m excited to continue on with it. Another Postcard is fast paced and entertaining. I loved the music and getting to know the band. I thought the characters are a lot of fun and you can’t help but laugh and be entertained by Levi’s alpha tendencies. I loved the sparks between Levi and Brooklyn. Their chemistry was intense and provided some really good tension. There is definitely more to this story than meets the eye. Another Postcard is not just a rock star romance. It is a story of love and the friendships you make in your life. It is a story of music and connection you make with the band. Another Postcard kept me entertained and delivered the kind of romance that I know, love and expect from author Elle Christensen. So, what else can I tell you about Another Postcard? Well, I enjoyed every second of this book. The romance, steamy moments and drama were perfectly balanced with some unexpected twists along the way. This book certainly kept me on my toes and I look forward to getting my hands on the next book in this series.

Brooklynn has the voice and the talent that everyone wants. She shies away from preforming in the public because she has a secret and a past she prefers to keep out of the prying eyes of the world. But a chance of a lifetime is offered to her. She’s faced with the dilemma of keeping her life private or stepping out into a world she has only dreamt about. Levi is a member of the biggest bands in the world, Stone Butterfly. When the band is forced to audition new backup singers to replace the one they currently have he has no idea that his life is about to be flipped upside down. The band all agree that Brooklynn is just what they need to compliment them and it doesn’t take them long to realize that she’s more than just a backup singer. And it only takes Levi minutes to realize that he wants her, and not just as a backup singer. Levi will do anything he can to get Brooklynn to give him a chance, but with her past and the secret she’s holding onto she’s reluctant to put herself out there and risk her heart being broken. But when she can no longer deny what her heart and body wants and Levi refusing to keep their relationship a secret, they must face the fact that not everyone is on board with their relationship. When things turn dangerous and a crazy fan starts to show that they will stop at nothing to eliminate Brooklynn from Levis life will their love be enough to save them. And when the identity of the person is revealed will anything ever be right again. If you like strong heroines, hot musicians, and a twist you never saw coming this is the book for you. Elle Christensen once again creates a world that has the reader living their life on the road with this band. The story sucks you in. Just as great as the two main characters, you as the reader will find yourself wanting more when it comes to the other band members.

What an amazing start to the series!!! I was completely pulled in to the Stone Butterfly world and I never wanted to leave. Levi and Brooklynn's connection was instantaneous. From the moment she walks into the room to audition with the band, their relationship became inevitable. Levi is one of the most swoon-worthy characters I've ever read. He never gave up on his pursuit of Brooklynn and even though insta-love can be scary, he never shied away. I loved that Brooklynn was more practical about a potential relationship between them. There are so many things that could go wrong and she seemed to be thinking of all of them. I was surprised by the suspense aspect of the story but it served to pull me in even further than I already was. I couldn't put this story down but I also wanted Levi and Brooklynn's story to continue on forever!! I was amazingly connected to the characters, felt like I was at a real life concert, and felt every emotion imaginable. This is definitely my favorite read of the year so far!! I can't wait to see what's in store for Stone Butterfly!!!! *This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*

Levi Matthews is the lead singer of Stone Butterfly. One of the back up singers will be out for maternity leave and they need a new back up signer ASAP. Brooklynn Hawk, a well known back up signer, agrees to travel on tour with the band for 3 months. The attraction is instant but Levi will find she's not going to just fall at his feet. Brooklynn resists Levi's charm even though she feels the same attraction he does. She's had a rough childhood and isn't willing to risk her career by getting involved with Levi while working with the band. What started out as a temporary gig, turns into so much more and Brooklynn must decide if she can keep Levi at arms length or take a chance and truly live. This has to be one of the sweetest versions of a rocker romance I've read. The way Levi pursued Brooklynn was incredibly sweet. Not only do we get that side of him but also a very protective and possessive side. If you like a safer rock n roll romance, you'll get that in this book! ARC provided by Netgalley.

Another Postcard, (Stone Butterfly Rockstars 1), Elle Christensen Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews Genre:  Romance, New Adult I love rock band romances, so was excited to get this but....somehow I'm at odds with all those five star reviews I can see as for me this just wasn't a five star read. I hate hate it when that happens :-(   * sigh * There were parts of the story I enjoyed, that were well put together and fed me into the band aura, that made me feel I was there with them living the dream. That was the actual touring and writing/creating music and lyrics, it felt very realistic. I love when a book does that, actually incorporates the whole band ethos, rather than just having the lead character be a band member but not actually writing about the scene in a bland, generic way. I liked the band members, and could feel the sizzle between Levi and Brooklyn right from the start. I just felt the first half dragged though, that nothing really happened except Brooklynn joined the band, and we met her sister.  The postcards from the title didn't really play a part until the second half, and I'd a pretty good idea early on who was behind things. I didn't really get a sense of danger and suspense from the read, didn't ever really feel there was any real issues here, and when things did take a turn for the worse it was kind of quickly wrapped up glossed over and tidied up, leaving Brooklynn and Levi free to follow their hearts. That just felt too slick, too easy and I'd have liked a little more reality here.  Sorry, a well written read that many will love, but just an OK, nothing special, read for me. Stars: Three, well written story which didn't play out as I'd hoped. ARC supplied for review purposes by Netgalley and Publishers
