Sunny's not sure she's even looking for Mr. Maybe, when her friends decide to find her Mr. Right.

Sunny Vale considers herself a dog-loving, romance-reading, homebody. But her life goes from dull to deadly when her book club fires her from her own love life and sets her up on six blind dates- one of whom might be with a murderer. More trouble arrives in the dead of night, in the form of Jake Landon, a mysterious stranger, who breaks into her neighbor's house and possibly her heart. But Jake is packing more than a loaded gun in his well-fitting Levi's. He brings an arsenal of secrets and plenty of heat to Sunny's ho-hum summer.

Jake Landon finds himself caught up in the capers of the sexy blonde in the house next door. But he has his own agenda which doesn't involve playing hero to a curvy second-grade teacher and babysitting her panty-puking puppy. He's got other problems like fiery explosions, a missing person...and a parade of jerks Sunny insists on dating.

Could Sunny's Mr. Right be right under her nose? Even though Jake is gorgeous, likes her dog, and has abs she can crack an egg on, can she really go out with him if he's just murdered her next door neighbor?

Women of all ages will enjoy this tale of humorous, women's fiction, that also has a touch of cozy mystery in this small town love story.

This book started out making me laugh out loud right away and just kept on getting funnier. A group of women got together weekly for a book club meeting. They called themselves the Pleasant Valley Page Turners. This is a pretty diverse group with the ages of these ladies ranging from their 30s to 90s. They decided that Sunny needed a man so they each set her up on a blind date. The dates went from bad to worse until Sunny took matters into her own hands. When Edna sees Jake break into Sunny's neighbor's house and he's got a gun, it gets more serious. But it's still funny with Edna talking about what else he's got in his pants besides the gun. Edna's 90-something so her comments are pretty funny. When the neighbor is missing, Edna is sure Jake killed him (after all, he did have a gun). She thought she could solve the crime because of her experience with watching so many crime shows on TV. I loved this hilarious story. It's a romance with a mystery and the funniest characters you'll ever meet.

I really enjoyed this book. It kept me interested the entire time, trying to figure out what was going on with Jake & Walter. I love Sunny & the members of her book club. They all seemed very realistic. I would definitely recommend this book to others. I got this book free from Goodreads, in exchange for an honest review.

When I grow up, I want to be just like Edna. No, scratch that, I want to live next door to her right now and join the book club! Another Saturday Night and I Ain't Got No Body is a cute story about a neighbor that goes missing and one book clubs quest to find out what happened to him. Add in some yummy coffee, a delicious grandson, and internet dating disasters and it turns into a highly funny book about the mishaps along the way. Well edited and fast-paced, Jennie Marts has written an excellent book on the dangers of living in Suburbia and getting close to your neighbors. It only makes me wish (just a little) for a life like this!

A great LMAO read! Jennie Marts has created a laugh out loud, rip roaring romantic comedy novel that I just could not put down! Read along as you meet Sunny, a twenty something 2nd grade school teacher whose idea of excitement consists of eating ice cream & reading steamy pirate romance novels. Enter the Page Turner's Reading club, who decide it is time for Sunny to get out and start meeting people. They decide to set her up on 6 blind dates during summer break, hoping she will meet Mr. Right. Add one missing next-door neighbor & a mysterious, sexy stranger taking up residence in the neighbor's house and sparks will fly! LITERALLY. Read along as the Page Turners investigate what happened to their missing (and presumed dead) neighbor & the sexy man next door,  while poor Sunny is subjected to one crazy blind date after another! I have to say that this was one of the most fun reads that I have had the pleasure of coming across in a very long time. Kudos, Ms. Marts, for creating fun, sassy characters & a world that is so believable that it could be my neighborhood!

This was a fantastic debut novel. I totally related to Sunny and had such a great time reading about her adventures with dating, Jake and her book club friends. I was both laughing out loud in parts and rooting for Sunny to find her happily ever after! Jennie Marts has a wonderful writing style that kept me turning pages until the end. I hope this is the first in a great new series!

Really enjoyed this book, it was a cozy romance/mystery/comedy. First, I fell in love with the characters.  They were really down to earth and real. They made me laugh, feel sad and happy. When characters make me feel emotion while I am reading about them I get sucked  into their world and don't want to leave.  This book kept my interest and was a "page turner" for me.  Hope there is another in the series.  Would recommend to anyone who enjoys a beautifully written romance/mystery with a lot of fun and laughter. There were parts I was laughing out loud , loved it!
