I found this book at a local author convention. I read the description on the back, and although the cover had caught my eye, I couldn't tell what it was about. So I looked on Amazon and saw nothing but positive, glowing reviews, and everyone said it was a very original take on vampires. I like vampires, so I bought the book. The one good thing is that I got a free bookmark with my purchase and it is very pretty. Still, I am very sorry now to have wasted my time and money. There was never any actual story. Random things just kept happening without direction. The writing was just terrible! I believe it was meant for adults because there are adult situations in the book, but the verbiage seems more fit for a children's book. It just left me confused. All of the characters were adults but they also behaved like children, and while I believe the author's intent was to write a humorous novel, the jokes are on par with a little kid's penchant for potty humor. The vampire licks the woman's feet. She pees in his shower because she is too lazy to walk to the bathroom. I don't think those things are funny, just gross. Not recommended...for adults or kids.
I absolutely love this book! I was hooked right away and it kept my interest from start to finish. I love how different it is from most typical vampire stories. I will definitely be recommending it to others. I can't wait to read the next one!
