I purchased this book because I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and one of my doctor's referred it to me. In reading it, I have found that it would be extremely helpful to everyone! It has great information and recipes. It is written in a way that everyone can understand and benefit from. Buy this book and get healthy. We all deserve it!

The book started with what seems to be firm scientific information but it didn't take long to become another diatribe on corporate farming and the food industry. The recipes might be okay if you can find some of the items and ingredients, many of which were not available in our local food stores or supermarkets. When I did come across some items, they were far more expensive than I expected. I suppose if you eat some of these things on a regular basis you will be used to the unusual textures and flavors. A breakfast smoothie with soy protein powder, acidophilus or frutco-oligosaccharides? Sure. If you're a vegetarian or a vegan and frequent vitamin aisles of the local health food store this book might work well for you for meal planning. I'm not convinced the diet would do much for anti-inflammation.

This is a good, basic, easy to understand book, and useful guideline to changing your eating habits and starting a healthier life style. There are no quick answers in this book, but it easy to follow and i am having success. The recipies are okay, and a good starting point. IF you know little or nothing about anti- inflammation diets, this is the book to start with, and if you know tons, this is a good refresher.

Very informative book. It's an easy plan to follow. Tells you which foods to avoid and which food is better for you. The recipes are really good and you don't need a lot of unique ingredients. I have suggested this book to others. It's worth it

Also suggest "Treat Your Knee Arthritis" if you have knee pain.

I looked forward to help in planning and preparing meals that would either lower or alleviate inflammation. I thought this and the sequel were my answers. However while browsing through some of the recipes, while they look tempting they are so high in sodium, I would not spend the time required to try them. With the amount of sodium in these recipes, I may as well purchase the available packaged meals in the frozen food cases and save time. I wasted money on these two books and won't be eating any of these recipes.
