Anything Can Happen in High School is a book written by Williams D. Mc Cants. As I was reading this book, the story seemed to interest me and my other friends that have read this book. They were the ones who told me to read this book and so it got me interested in the story. At the beginning the story takes place before summer ends, and T.J. is dumped by Janet Brooks, which leaves him left with nobody to date at the beginning of the school year. At first T.J. finds out that Janet doesn¿t want to date him anymore, which leaves him with a broken heart and no date for the new school year to come. His best friend, Alex, who told him that she just wanted to date him so that she can be class president for her sophomore year and that she didn¿t love him. Later on the whole town found out what happened with the two over the radio, even his family: Dana, Gretchen, and his Mom and Dad. This made T.J. go and try to get Janet to really like him by setting up Radical Waves, a local club with his long time friend Vivian. The two of them started setting up the club to get her interested, but along the way they made new high school friends over the year. This club really attracted Janet¿s attention, but does T.J. still like her or is there someone else in mind? He needs to make up his mind before Janet goes with David Whitworth and before Vivian moves away! Although T.J. is always going for the girls that used him, he finally realizes that he should go with someone that likes him instead. The author also kept me interested in the book by introducing new personality traits about the characters and how they met as well as the activities that they do. Throughout the book T.J. and his friends really changed from being flat characters into characters that are dynamic. The character that changed most was T.J. He went from being a sloppy person into being a clean person and his attitude changed as well as his likings. Alex, T.J. `s friend was the only character that stayed the same throughout the story because he was always giving T.J. advice about how things are. Additionally he is not very supportive during T.J. `s problems; but instead he explains what is going on. This book also has some funny events as well as events that are romantic that are enjoyable and would make you want to read on to see what happens between the characters. Overall the book is a good book for teens as well as for others because it shows how teens act, and the events are something that may happen in real life. This is also a book that is fun and enjoyable because of the characters that are in the story and what conflicts that they go through together in funny situations or in romantic events. The book is also a great book to read for older people because it might remind them of how their high school year was and of what they did during those years.
