The author of Once and Again (“Engaging, sexy, and immensely touching.”—Marina Adair) invites readers back to the Briarwood with a novel about a single-minded businessman and the rock princess who melts his heart.

As the daughter of a music legend, Grace Davingham knows all too well what it’s like to be burned by the media’s glare. Now all she wants is to be left to do her painting and conservation work in peace, with no intention of returning to the spotlight. But after she sprains her ankle hiking and a handsome real-estate mogul comes to her rescue, Grace once again finds herself in the public eye.

Sexy, successful, and averse to any attachments, Marcus Colby thrives on rigid discipline in order to manage both his real-estate investment company and his personal life. Marc has no time for fun, and no patience for crazy. Which is why meeting Grace—and inheriting an enormous Great Dane who won’t listen to a word he says—has turned Marc’s carefully constructed world upside down.

Only when Grace and Marc square off over a local controversy do they realize how different they really are. But if opposites attract, their love is destined to bind them together—forever.

A life spent in front of cameras is hard at the best of times, but when you have no interest in anything that is important to your rock star father or model mother, nothing is better than getting away to manage your own life. Or so Grace believes when she sets out away from media’s harsh lights to pursue her twin passions, conservation and art. A misstep on a hiking trail leaves her in need of assistance and in Marc’s path. He’s a real estate developer, buttoned up, tightly wound and completely uninterested in Grace’s special brand of media notoriety. His aunt’s recent passing and the inheritance of a giant Great Dane, Mr. Pipplepots, mean that his life is a bit topsy turvy from the careful constructed vision he has. But, Grace may just be able to help watch the dog, and she’s not too difficult to talk to. Slowly but surely, Marc comes to see just how wonderful Grace is: he enjoys her free spirit and self-confidence, far different from the reality show bimbo he thought her to be. Grace enjoys poking at Marc’s shell, and enjoys him until a particular resort project falls into her eyeline. Plenty of push and pull with these two, as the resort becomes a huge stumbling block in their budding relationship. Marcus had just started to unwind a bit, and he’s not a man who deals well with contradictory opinions that he can’t sway. With family pressures and obligations, a business deal and the two finding themselves on opposite sides of nearly every situation, it takes some real desire a dash of chemistry and plenty of conversation to bring these two around to the path for a happy ending. With Mr. Pipplepots providing comic and annoyance relief for them both, their connection that is palpable from the start does have a chance. Easy to read as a stand-alone, this brings the series to a close with an epilogue that wraps everything up nicely. A fun book and series full of light moments, heart and heat. I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

I was given a gifted copy by NetGalley. Being the daughter of a music legend and a very famous model, Grace knows what being chased by paparazzis and not having anything privacy is. She goes with the flow of fame until she can’t take anymore. She gets away from that type of life and goes to live in a perfect place to create his paintings, a place full of vegetation and animals, an Eden. Marcus is a serious man, neat and tidy with his life in order until he meets Grace and inherits Big Blue, his Aunt’s Great Dane. He likes a quiet and private life. The book is very well-written. The story is funny and very emotional. I really loved Big Blue who gives the story a funny and cute touch. The author is really good with words and you can easily feel the joy, sadness, deception, betrayal, peace, and happiness in the characters. You smile, laugh and cry through the pages.

Grace is the daughter of a famous musician father and super model mother. She has grown up in the spotlight but has recently decided that fame is not for her and retreats to quite Briarwood to focus on her true passions art and conservation. Marc learned at a very early age that if you are clam and in control you can save yourself from being hurt. Marc prides himself on being very controlled in both his professional and personal lives. When Marc's beloved aunt dies leaving him her unruly Great Dane he thinks she must have lost her mind but when the dog puts him in the direct path of Grace more than sparks begin to fly. I loved this book so much. Watching Grace struggle for balance and finding herself at the same time was a true pleasure. Watching Marc slowly realize that letting go of control sometime and letting emotions in leads to a more fulfilling life was a true joy. These two experiment many ups and downs in their journey but each up and down helps peel off another layer of these complex characters which brings them to life and pulls you further into the story. This was an amazing conclusion to a very beautiful series.

This book sure proved that opposites really do attract! Marcus Colby was born into money, but is very successful himself in real estate. He expects his life to be completely in order and he has a hard time when things go differently than he is expecting. Marcus' Aunt Sarah was really the only family member that he actually liked and she just passed away unexpectedly while walking her dog in the woods. While Marcus was wandering through the woods to find the place where he lost his aunt, he comes across a woman sitting alone in the woods on the boardwalk he needed to cross. As Marcus walks closer, he hears the woman talking to herself and he thinks she is crazy....something he has no time for in his life. Grace Davingham may be the daughter of the famous rock star, Jerry Davingham and the equally as famous super model, Sophie Whalley, but she was tired of being in the spotlight....especially after what happened with her ex-boyfriend. All Grace wanted was to paint wildlife pictures and bring to light the damage being done to the Grace moved to Eastbridge where life was way less quiet. The first meeting of Marcus and Grace was awesome. It was so funny. I loved how these two were so different yet they seemed to compliment each other perfectly. Grace is so laid back you could feel at times like it drove Marcus crazy. When Marcus found out he inherited his aunt's dog, a Great Dane named Mr. Pipplepotts all hell breaks loose. He can't handle a dog in his life, let alone a huge dog! This dog added so much comedy to the story! He was great! This big dog though helps bring Marcus into Grace's life more often, which he is starting to realize he enjoys. As Marcus and Grace start to spend more and more time together, it is very obvious they are meant to be together. Of course, along the way there are a few bumps (his family, her family, work etc...) but eventually they end up with their happy ending. Overall, this was a wonderful, enjoyable read, that was filled with laughter, sadness and sexy swooning. Great job!

I really liked Anywhere You Are by Elisabeth Barrett. This is the third book in her Briarwood series and it can be enjoyed as a standalone. I have also read the second book in the series, The Best of Me, and it was quite good. Grace Davingham is the only daughter of a rock legend and a super model, so she is very accustomed to being surrounded by paparazzi and fans. Then her family went the way of reality TV, and almost instantly Grace's life was not her own. So she quit the show and moved to Eastbridge, a small town in Connecticut. In Eastbridge, Grace is able to have some form of anonymity, and she can concentrate on her sketching, painting and conversation work. She accidentally meets real-estate mogul Marcus Colby on a hike, and they share an instant chemistry. Marc is Grace's complete opposite; he thrives on structure and planning. They are a hot and sexy couple and they sizzle in the bedroom. Marc's newly inherited Great Dane, Big Blue, forms an immediate kinship with Grace, which only adds to the possibility of them having a future together. This is a truly entertaining and well-written read. Grace and Marc have an amazing connection and Ms. Barrett does an excellent job of creating sexual tension, need and desire. Marc is a hot alpha male and every move that he makes evokes lust, sensitivity and devotion. The conflict between Grace's public persona and Marc's massive dislike about being in the spotlight is well-conceived. I loved the reality TV situations, and I thought Grace's parents were depicted quite well. Overall, this is an entertaining read that will keep you engaged from start to finish. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

This is the 3rd book in Ms Barrett’s series, Return to Briarwood. It’s a standalone story, so if like me , you have not read the previous books, you will be fine. The story centers around Grace and Marc. Grace is the daughter of a famous parents and once part of their reality tv show. She has moved to Briarwood to get away from the celebrity life and to pursue her love, painting and the environment. Marc is a real estate developer, very straight arrow, serious, and a very private man. They meet by chance but even they were opposites in so many ways, the attraction was palpable. They develop a relationship but fame and the side effects of it comes down on them. Will their love survive? Will their differences cause resentment? A well written story you won’t want to miss. This book was gifted to me by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was a wonderfully sweet and touching story. This is the third book in the Return to Briarwood series and wraps things up nicely. It can be read standalone though. Marcus and Grace were great characters and their story kept me turning the pages. Grace Davingham has lived her whole life in the spotlight. With a rock star father and a mother that is the queen of reality tv, there isn't much she hasn't seen. Now she just wants to live a quiet life and focus on her art and conservation work. Briarwood seems to be the perfect place for this free spirit. Marcus Colby lives a very structured life. That's the only way he can balance all the responsibilities he has on his plate. Inheriting a great dane from his favorite aunt is not in his plan. Neither is meeting Grace and the feelings she pulls from him. This is a true opposites attract love story and everything is great until they find themselves over a local conservation issue. Then the media shows up and all bets are off. Can these two find their way back to each other? Definitely a book I recommend.

Ms. Barrett does well at tickling the funny bone. She delivers feel good romance that relies on the reader's ability to exercise both the brain and the heart in order to understand the true meaning of self reliance and the power of finding a place to belong. Anywhere You Are there proves that in order to understand where you are meant to be, a person has to search within themselves to discover who they are.
