Then she meets Shade, a servant of the evil Aos Si. Carla's attraction to Shade is as deep as the power flows that surround them, but her attempt to free him from evil sinks them both in deeper and escalates the war.
Grab your flashlight and dive under the covers, because Aos Si will keep you turning pages well past your bedtime.

A great addition to my e-library. I have already read the series twice and love the tension between human and non-human, light and dark, good and evil, with a little bit of twist so that you are not always sure which is which. The warning Carla receives that there are no good Aos Si (pronounced ees shee) builds through all three books. The cover says it well. "Powerful, Dangerous, and Hidden Among Us."
An exciting and involving read. Carla Greenhall and her mom move from Denver to a rural farm and valley region that is populated with both humans and elves–or Aos Si (pronounce ees shee, as the perilous fair folk call themselves.). Carla and her mom have some interesting secrets of their own, and quickly become tangled up in the dizzying weave of human and non-human characters, warring factions, romance, and intrigue. A very satisfying blend of story elements for readers. A great start to a fascinating series. Be sure to read them all.
