563 nook pages. First book in the series, follows young Aran, through his discovery of his abilities. Along the way we discover many things about his own shadowed past, and the expectations of his future. A remarkedly enjoyable book. Does need an editor, as spelling mistakes are many, but dont take away from the enjoyment of this story. Cant wait to read more

Good story and plot. Lots of grammar mistakes And misuse of character names and places.

Interesting book. The plot moves slowly. It is actually well written in my opinion and the characters are well developed but not an action oriented book. What i mean is more influence on developing back story and how the.characters feel and lots of internal dialogue. Worth a read for sure but i have higher expectations on the next book because now Arantur can become a man of action and perhaps more of the magic can be used.
