Overview

Starting over has never looked so good in this fan-favorite tale from Linda Lael Miller, previously published as Deadly Gamble

Mojo Sheepshanks knows a thing or two about new beginnings. After a long-ago tragedy she's never fully remembered and a childhood spent moving from place to place, she's making a home in the small town of Cave Creek, Arizona, and finally taking charge of her future. But Tucker Darroch, a sexy cop with baggage of his own, keeps complicating the life she's trying to simplify…

Tucker has been fascinated by the enigmatic Mojo from the beginning, and try as he might, he can't ignore the sparks that fly between them. So when a wealthy man shows up in Cave Creek claiming to be Mojo's long-lost uncle, and her shady brother begins dogging her footsteps, Tucker decides he's sticking close as he and Mojo work to solve a decades-old crime…and prevent history from repeating itself.

I loved this book in 2006, disappointed that she changed the name of the book and with no description of the book you don't realize you read it as Deadly Gamble. I spent $8.99 on a book I've already read!

This book was published under a different title in 2006. I am so glad that I did not buy this book again!!

This book was impossible to read. Confusing and not worth the money I paid.

I read this book and the 1st one when they came out the first time and loved them both. But Ms. Miller left this book as a cliff hanger and never came out with the third installment.. I felt cheated some how...

Pretty ticked that I just bought an ebook that literally says “her new release” in the description only to find that it’s a book I already own with a different title. Pretty shady of the author or publisher who thinks that’s how loyal readers should be treated. During this same search for something new to read tonight, I clicked on several titles that I didn’t recognize from another one of my favorite authors and there were very noticeable notations right upfront on those that had been previously released. I definitely appreciate and respect that!

I feel cheated. This is an old book released under a new title. I have always loved books by this author but she just lost a fan. Don't buy this book if you have read Deadly Gamble. Same book. So much for my $6.00.
