**This book was part of a blog tour I was given a copy for my honest review 2 1/2 stars This book has three short novellas in it that are connected by the male leads who are in law enforcement. All three of the stories had these alpha males somewhat saving the females, physically or emotionally. There was a lot of sex, which is to be expected because it is an erotic romance. The scenes are written well, detailed, diverse and you need a cold shower hot. The only thing that kept me from really enjoying any of these stories was that I felt like there wasn't a storyline. I need to have some sort of connection to the characters in the books I read to get into them and really enjoy them, I didn't have that with any one of the three of these. If you like fast reads with lots of hot monkey sex then Arrested by Love is the book to pick up.

Story #1 – Copping To It - Elements: Voyeurism, exhibitionism, oral sex, menage M/F/M. - Rating: 2/5 I was very disappointed in this couple, the heroine in particular. Her need for kink with a dangerous edge in order to get off aside, she rarely engaged her brain throughout this story; slipping from one dangerous situation into the next while riding on the high of her angst of letting the one man she’s lusted over to want her as she is. I have no problem with dark eroticism, but it didn’t work for me in this story. Using a potentially life-threatening situation as a catalyst for the romance between the hero and heroine was quite a stretch. While I did see the chemistry between the two characters, and I have to admit that the sex was hot, I really missed any indication of intelligence from either of them. The heroine was so oversexed that her emotions kept swaying back and forth between want, need, lust, jealousy, fear, hurt … I got whiplash. I didn’t by her reactions to what was going on around her. In fact, she didn’t seem to fully know herself. At least that was my impression of her character. I think she crossed the line from enjoying a kinky edge to being seen as a floozy. The “danger” was just a convenient cover for them to get what they both wanted. Story #2 – Cop Appeal - Elements: Ménage M/F/M, Stalker, Reunited lovers, Older heroine-younger hero. - Rating: 3/5 I enjoyed this story a little more than the first. The story of Luke Anderson and Sarah Larson was one of the rich guy and the girl from the wrong side of the tracks. I didn’t dislike the characters per se, but I didn’t love them either. Sarah still has hangups over her social status in comparison to Luke, even though he had never given any indication that it bothered him. That misconception was all on her. She was a little older than Luke, but out of the two, he seemed the more mature one. Now that was a disappointment. She also had the bad tendency to verbally put herself down in front of him. Again, the sex scenes were hot, but the heroine was a little too weak and self-sacrificing for my taste. There’s submissive, and there is weak. She came across more as the latter. Still, this story wasn’t as over the top as the first one, so that counts for something. As for Luke, I thought he had his heart in the right place. He didn’t see the signs that would have clued him in into just how insecure Sarah felt around him, both in the past and in the present. But when you have such a dominant male as a character, I like to see a female who can be an equal and choose to submit out of love and desire, not because she has no backbone. Story #3 – Copping Attitude - Elements: Heroine is a rape survivor - Rating: 4.5/5 Noah was the dreamiest hero of the three, and this was my favorite story in this collection. He was gentle and sweet and mindful of Jenna’s trauma. He pushed her, but he always let her set the pace or take control of the situation. He was also incredibly patient with her. Jenna was sweet, and you could tell there was a tough cookie underneath that vulnerable exterior just waiting to be freed. The sex was hot, but I got swept up by the emotions and kind sincerity behind each of his gestures. Even though I found the first two stories to be less enjoyable than the last one, I enjoyed this author’s style. I just didn’t agree with some of the choices that were made. Disclaimer: I received a review copy from the publisher via NetGalley for the purpose of an honest review.

Virna DePaul's book "Arrested By Love" (A Loveswept Contemporary Erotic Romance) is so hot that it should be illegal. (Sorry I couldn't resist.) "Arrested By Love" contains three novellas from her Red Hot Cops series. These stories are all about Bad Boy Cops with Good Girls, and the results is sparks flying. This book was great! It was a vey interesting and spicy diversion. I liked the way DePaul took characters from the first story (Copping To It) and then wrote the subsequent two novellas about the other two characters. With a smooth tie in between stories and just the right amount of substance in each one, the whole book just flowed like a well choreographed dance routine. In Copping To It, prim and respectable journalist Claire Fullerton is trying to cover a story when she unexpectedly gets caught up in a steak out with Detective Ty Fullerton whom she has had a secretly lusts for. Ty is undercover in a motorcycle gang that likes to ride bikes and lots of ladies. Ty has always had a thing for Claire, and he encourages her to unleash her inner vixen, and he shows that he accepts her and the vixen as they are. The second story "Cop Appeal" is a reunion story. Four years ago, Sarah Larson left Detective Luke Anderson for another cop. After a messy divorce Sarah still carries a torch for Luke that has never really gone out. Luke hears about the divorce and is determined to get her back. When a demented ex-husband begins to threaten her Luke struggles to prove that their second chance at happiness will work out. In "Cop An Attitude" former centerfold Jenna Mills appears to be ice cold and she shoots down all male attention. She is secretly afraid of men and intimacy due to a past tragedy. But-- she is ready to address her fears. She make an indecent proposal to honorable cop Noah James who she is secretly attracted to. De Paul has really hit her stride as a writer and it shows in the book. The characters are well developed, and there is just enough background information without getting too involved. The plot development has just the right amount of twist and events, combined with just enough surprise to keep you intrigued. When the characters in the book are naughty, you can almost see the steam rising off the pages. (De Paul has got a vivid imagination.-lol) If writing were like dancing, I would say that DePaul she would a favorite on "Dancing with the Stars". No matter what she writes next you won't want to miss it.

She starts to grind against random beachgoers, her eyes glazed over slightly but bright and flirty. ((Going to bed. Will be on tomorrow.))

Arrested by Love is an incendiary read offering a variety of kinks for everyone.....ménage, voyeurism, and back-door play. Those looking for sweetness should look elsewhere, while those of us who enjoy erotica will find this the perfect form of escapism. This book is a short and quick read with three separate stories loosely tied together in that the male leads all know each other and are in law enforcement. The author has a nicely flowing writing style, at times lyrical but at one or two other times a bit laughable in her use of sexual descriptors. The stories do feel complete but in Copping to It there's almost too much sex that gets in the way of the storyline advancing in a completely satisfactory way. In the case of Copping Attitude the story feels rather rushed at the end which is a bit of a disappointment as well. The heroes in these stories are sexy, domineering, and utterly dream-worthy. The heroines have baggage, fears that only these heroes can banish and they are more than happy to put themselves in these men's hands. For the most part I enjoyed these characters even as they were having sex at rather inappropriate times (most notably in Copping to It). Not every action seemed plausible but with that much steaminess being presented I stopped caring and just enjoyed the ride. This spicy read was intensely sexy and the perfect fantasy for a summer afternoon and I look forward to reading more from Ms. DePaul's naughty mind! 3.75 STARS!

~Reviewed by ANGELA & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog Arrested By Love is compilations of three books from Ms. DePaul’s previous pseudonym, Ava Meyers. All three short stories are delightfully erotic and quick reads. Copping to It, Cop Appeal and Copping Attitude were released separately under a series called The Red-Hot Cops. Now, Loveswept Publishing had brought this series to you in one lump sum with a few extras at the end. This anthology will satisfy all your cravings for men in blue with women just finding freedom in their sexualities. The relationships are a bit unconventional, but then again…..this really falls into the “my fantasy” category. This compilation of erotic stories include menage, a** play, voyeurism, and the use of some sexual toys. I have to say each story is pretty damn hot! Ms. DePaul knows how to write Erotica, no doubt about at. I only wish the stories were longer. If you are looking for a quick summer read, I recommend Arrested by Love. I guarantee that you will enjoy it. *This review is for all three novellas. *ARC Review provided by publisher in exchange for an honest review

What stands out above all in all three stories is the author's ability to weave great plots into incredibly erotic stories. Ty's story was incredibly fulfilling. I feel I got all the elements required to feel a complete picture of who the main characters were independently and to eachother. Luke's story gave me that sizzling heat tempered by tenderness and sweetness. Though the resolution to the conflict felt a bit abrupt, it did feel more true to life than if something exaggerated were to happen. In this story, two things threw me off a bit as a native Spanish speaker. One, when Noah says "precioso", as when referring to a woman, he should have used the feminine tense (preciosa). However, he did it correctly with different words in the third story. Also, what in the world is a "mantecato"? "Mantecado" in Spanish means ice cream which I guess might have made some sense in how Luke explained it for the reader or a "tecato" is a drug abuser but "mantecato" was completely lost on me. Finally Noah's story was extremely hot but it felt unfinished to me. What happened to the judge? Did she really work through her issues? What happens next with them? Overall, I was quite pleased with the book and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a little heat in their life, of course with a giant disclaimer that states that after reading, you might want to actively seek getting arrested by smoking HOT sensually adventurous cops as are our protagonists!
