About the Author
Michael Parfitt was born in the North East of England in 1939, just before the start of the Second World War. After leaving school he became an articled clerk with a local firm of Chartered Accountants, and then Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1962 when he moved to live in Notting Hill in London. In 1964 he volunteered for an assignment in East Africa, After returning to the North East of England he met Anne, and they were married in 1968, and after a short honeymoon in the Lake District they went to live in Bermuda, where Michael worked as a Chartered Accountant for a large US international International Group. They now live just south of London in North East Surrey.
