This is a great manga instruction book! This author's sketches are brilliant, even though not all the artwork is by him. My intentions were to buy the kit with all the materials needed to draw with (penholder, 2 sets of nibs, white eraser, 4 pencils, and small bottle of ink). But i didn't, only the lone book, it's ok i can go to an art store and buy the stuff i need. I got the ink and pen nibs, they may not be the nibs the manga artists use, but the set is designed for cartooning. All i need now is a marker pen and sketch paper. Ben has real talent, and although some art is westernised, it's all good. My art is improving day by day, so i'll be a good manga artist someday.

This was an amazing book with very little flaws. It takes you step by step with easy to follow instructions that'll make you a true Manga artist. I do recomend this for people who have already done a couple of Manga drawings and are struggling a little. It is especially great because as it shows how to edit your drawings on the computer so it makes your drawings come to life. I'd have given 5 star's but it didn't go into huge detail on how to draw Manga bodies but despite that, IT IS AN AMAZING BOOK!

I was really pleased that after practicing the techniques featured in the book I was soon creating my own original characters, which I hadn¿t expected I¿d ever be able to do! The book includes everything you need to know to create cool Manga characters, by teaching you bit by bit how to put them together. It¿s divided into sections: heads, faces, hands, figures, clothes and accessories, which is great because it let¿s you decide whether you want to focus on one thing, or start from the beginning and learn everything. (If you¿re like me and don¿t know where to start!) Unlike similar books on the market, this one is in color, which made it more fun as well as being helpful when choosing how to color my own illustrations. For beginners and those more experienced, this book is a must-have! ^_^

Apparantly, 'The Art of Drawing Manga' is to just swipe from someone else's work. That cover is a blatant rip-off of some promotional artwork ADV Films used for their release of the NOIR DVDs. The author and publisher should be ashamed of themselves.

This book goes through evry step, and I really recommend it for people who have already tried drawing manga and have already drawn a few pictures. I recommend the How To Draw Manga book by Katy Coope for beginners. And well... alot of the drawings are sorta.. how can I say it.. 'inappropriate'..

Amazingly colored, this book spares no expense in it's bright, photoshop colored drawings in almost every other page. Much better than the 'How to Draw Manga' book.

This is a pretty cool book. I bought it because I love drawing manga, but I'm not very good with bodies or proportional faces. This definately covers it. I have other books on drawing Manga, and I know there are a whole lot more, but this one pays some really close attention to detail in the face and clothing. This is a good one for beginners, because I gets the basics down really well!

This book is great! On the first day of getting it I drew a pretty decent Manga girl, all from what the book taught me! It gives you pointers, as well as tips from professional Manga/Anime artists from Japan. It tells you how to storyboard, color, bring action to your pics and also basics as well. I definately recomend this book to any aspiring manga artist.
