Arthur's Really Rockin' Music Mix

As the star of the PBS Kids lineup for more than two decades, Arthur needs no introduction. Like the show itself, the 16-track Arthur's Really Rockin' Mix Tape finds the good-natured aardvark sharing the spotlight with his pals Francine, D.W., Buster, Binky, and others. Each takes a turn on the mike for a style-hoppin' tour of the musical universe -- from Buster's swinging "Elwood City: A Report" to the lilting "Muffy's Soccer Song" to "D.W.'s Brass in Pocket," a fairly straight cover of the Pretenders' sassy song of empowerment. Ziggy Marley is the only "guest star" here, adding vocals to a dub-heavy remix of the Arthur theme, "Believe in Yourself." But for the faithful, the real stars are the cartoon characters singing songs about a funny, familiar world of invisble friends, butterfiles and school.
