About the Author
With a bachelors from Baker College of Michigan, concentration in Early Childhood and English; Chermel has a background in educational studies. Originally starting college with a passion to teach, she began her studies in Elementary Education with a ZA endorsement (Early Childhood Education) and English. Through the years she has gained the knowledge to teach children and how to formulate different scaffolding strategies for children in their diverse learning styles.
Chermel is also a talented artist who dwells in creativity."Ever since I was a child I remember doing creative pieces of work; rather it be drawing, making a book, or making paper dolls. I always enjoyed exercising the right side of my brain." When using her creative abilities in a creative writing course, she discovered that she enjoys to write children's stories in addition to how much she loves to teach. Chermel has taken her knowledge of children, their learning styles, and curriculum based information to write educational books that are fun for children to read.
