a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof

They say when you assume that you make an ass out of you and me. Kenton Mayson learned this lesson firsthand when he made assumptions about Autumn Freeman and the kind of woman she is based on what little information he had. What he finds out is she's not only beautiful, but also smart, funny, a fighter, and exactly the kind of woman he wants to share his life with. Autumn made assumptions of her own about Kenton, and now he needs to prove her wrong in order to protect her and their future.

Aurora Rose Reynolds writes some of the sexiest alpha heroes I have ever come across. I fell in love with the men of the Until Series and was so excited when she announced that she was writing a companion series!  I first met Kenton in Until November and while I was busy swooning over Asher, he did not escape my notice. Kenton is a bounty hunter. A mysterious, tough, sexy guy whose passionate hands and dirty mouth will melt your panties right off! Underneath the tough exterior beats a passionate and loving heart. He’ll throw you on the bed and rock your world, and then be sweet and slow. Yes…I’m fanning myself. Autumn is a girl I’d like to get to know better if I met her on the street. She is independent and can definitely take care of business. She has a sassy mouth that either gets her in trouble, or endears her to those around her. A stripper by night, to pay the bills, and a nurse by day, she is determined to climb her way into the life she wants.  After witnessing a killing spree in the club where she works, Autumn is sent to stay with Kenton until the culprit is caught and she is no longer in danger. Well, life threatening danger… Kenton and Autumn practically combust from the sparks between them when they meet. I’ve never had a problem with “love at first sight,” however some people don’t find is as believable. This story is for you. While the attraction burns between the two of them, they take time to work through the misunderstandings and the feelings they have for each other. When Kenton finally accepts what he feels for Autumn, he has his work cut out for him convincing Autumn to do the same.  One of my favorite things about Aurora’s men, is that when they fall in love, they put their all into it. Failure is not an option. This is simply the way it’s going to be! It’s damn sexy! Is it hot in here…? Aurora creates love that is strong and resilient. I love the fact that the major conflict in the story surrounds them, but does not break them apart. Autumn and Kenton may struggle with what’s between them, but they are still loyal and keep faith in each other.  I’m always impressed with her ability to write such action into a story! It’s not just a small conflict, its heart-pumping thrills and intrigue. She knows how to write scenes that belong in an action movie, and scenes that will burn up the sheets.  After the Until Series, Aurora had a lot to live up to in the next book (not that I was worried…but still…) and she certainly didn’t disappoint. When I got to the last page, I put the book down. Five minutes later, I gave in, picked it back up and read it again!

Ok I really didn't believe your men could get any hotter. But damn Kenton takes the cake. Loved Kenton and Autumn's story. Hurry with the next book.

Assumption by Aurora Rose Reynolds is the first book in her Underground Kings series. In reading this book I felt like there were some characters I should know better and upon further investigation this appears to be a spin-off to the Until series that I have yet to read. Not sure what I'm waiting on because this author is fast becoming a favorite for me. A reader can like many authors but every once in a while an author comes along whose writing style just has a way of connecting with a person. So we have a tough heroine, Autumn Freeman, who is working hard to better her life. She is successfully studying to become a nurse and works as a stripper to pay the bills. People assume things about her because she is a stripper but they couldn't be further from the truth. She is determined to get away from her toxic past and childhood and she is well on her way until she witnesses a multiple homicide at the club one night and barely escapes being a victim herself. Her close friend and club bouncer sends her out of state to stay with his friend until the shooter is apprehended and it is safe for her to return to Vegas. Kenton is a man of few words and when he meets the girl he's going to allow to stay with him for her protection he loses what few words he does have. When he speaks - it comes out all wrong. He makes assumptions about her lifestyle only knowing that she is a dancer and his misconceptions really tick her off. She allows him to continue to think she is dancing but finds herself a new job at the hospital as a nurse. So that was essentially the meet cute. The tension between these two is palpable. One pushes the other pulls and neither knows quite what they should be doing. They can't deny their growing attraction but the danger that still lingers over Autumn's head is looming closer. Despite the tension there are some wickedly hilarious moments int his book. My favorite has to be the bed and the balcony. That is all I'm saying - you'll know when you get there.

## Yes, I liked it. And yes, I will read again. Was it the best? No. There were amazing parts to this book and some not so amazing parts. First, the chemistry between the hero and heroine is definitely happening which is a must in my opinion. Second, I love how fierce Kenton is about pursuing Autumn. Also, the ending was so satisfying; what a real treat for us readers. Nothing abrupt about it. Now the things I didn't like: Autumn cried too much for one. Kenton had no verbal filter, insulting the heroine often. I'm always disappointed when a book says: a few months later....(other than the epilogue of course). However these issues are minor and as I mentioned won't keep me from reading again.

I really love this series and I can honestly say that this book is my favorite. I thought nobody could come close to being better than Asher but Kenton does. I am not really sure what it was that got me but he shot to the top of my Alpha Male list. Maybe I need to go back and reread Until November but wow! I like Autumn too. She is awesome and puts Kenton in his place as needed. There were a couple of times in this book where I was sitting there with my mouth open. I can't say anymore about this but OMG you must read this book. I am giving this book 4.6 stars out of 5. You really need to read this. You don't have to read the whole series to understand this book but recommend it. The books are good and can you really get enough of the Alpha?

-Gifted Copy- This is the fifth book that Aurora has written. To say that she can write a good book would be an understatement. I love her books. I like books that have no cheating and that have a HEA. Which all of her books do.  In Assumption, we finally get the Mayson brothers cousin, Kenton. Kenton is so much like the Mayson brothers it’s not funny. He totally has to complete full package: 1. He’s smoking Hot. 2. He’s an Alpha Male.  3. He’s  Protective. To me, all of these things are what makes Kenton such a likable/lovable character. It’s what makes him, him. Although, I did like the book, I wish it would have had a little more action. I wanted more to happen with the bad guys. I though it lacked a little in that area but it was still a really good book. That’s why I couldn't rate it 5 stars.

Aurora Rose Reynolds sucked me in with each book in her Until series and I have been waiting anxiously for Kenton. So much more than I imagined and I LOVED every second of it. I loved how the first couple chapters were just from Autumn's POV and then we started to get Kenton's. I needed his POV to explain why in the beginning he was such an ass to her. lol  I already knew that I would love Kenton going into this book but I was surprised how much I loved Autumn. She had such a hard life but still remained caring and sweet and funny. I hated that in the beginning Kenton struggled with her being a stripper and couldn't see past that to who she really was. So funny when he learned the truth of where she was really working. I loved that Kenton had to work to get Autumn and she didn't give in to him so easily after the things he had said to her. She needed him to prove himself to her and he did. *sigh* I loved them so much as a couple. I loved that they found their "home" in each other~very sweet!! The part with Autumn and what she did to Kenton's bed cracked me up!! Oh and I loved when Kenton brought her to Sunday dinner to meet everyone. Autumn was so cute!! Oh and when she first met Justin. So funny.  This book was filled with Alpha male hotness, romance, a sweet and feisty redhead, laughter, heartache, family and a great cast of secondary characters. Everything that I love about reading. The epilogue was so awesome that I could just keep reading that!! Another great book from Aurora and I cannot wait for more. This is definitely a reread for me!!  Mariann Belle's Book Bag

I love Keaton and Autumn. This book goes down as one of my all time favorite reads. It has the suspense, hot sex, and dirty talking bad boy. Keaton forces Autumn to acknowledge her feelings for him while he is protecting her. When Autumn is in danger and gets hurt Keaton is a mess. He loves her so much. This book is a great addition to the Mayson family (The Until Series). Keaton has a way of caching bad guys even if it's not within the law. Autumn does not let men walk all over her just because she is beautiful and a dancer. These two struggle with their past and love for each other. Just an AMAZING read!!! I would rate 6 stars if I had the option. Another great series is the Until series with more hot possessive men and great story lines.

I love this book.  We meet Kenton in the "Until" series books and know he's gonna be trouble.  Another hot alpha male that makes assumptions he shouldn't and the woman who's about to show him the way.

This is the first book I've read by this author, and I love it. The characters were likeable, even when they were being jerks. You actually saw the romance, develop; I hate when people meet, hate each other, and are suddenly in love for no reason. I thought the sex scenes where passionate and realistic. Loved the storyline and everything about the writing. Definitely going back to read the other books.

Kenton and Autumn meet when she is forced to flee for her life from Vegas.  Kenton makes certain assumptions about Autumn because of where she worked prior to coming to Tennessee to live with him.  Autumn does not correct his assumptions and lets him believe what he wants.  When Kenton learns the truth about Autumn, he decides that there is nothing stopping him from making her his.  Overall a decent plot and easy read.  Good ending to their story and will definitely read the next book in this series.
