They gazed at each other. Sweat glittered in the fine golden hairs above John's upper lip. His eyes shone steel blue.
Alexei pushed himself off the door-frame. Let his hands drop to his sides, stalked forward, letting his mouth curl in an inviting smile, his eyelids drop. It was not so far a space between the predatory saunter of a killer and that of a seducer.
"What-" John began, but Alexei was there, in his space, feeling the heat of him, surrounded by sweat and spice, and he reached up, slid his hand about John's neck, and pulled him down, stretching onto his toes to meet him.
John groaned. Cutlery clattered on the table as his hands curled about Alexei's hips, broad and strong, fingers pressing bruises into his hipbones. He licked open Alexei's mouth, kissed him hard, devouring him, and Alexei had never known this, had never even suspected.
