At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee

The tangled life of the knitter is the subject of inspired nuttiness in 300 tongue-in-cheek meditations from the Yarn Harlot, Stephanie Pearl-McPhee. At Knit’s End captures the wickedly funny musings of someone who doesn’t believe it’s possible to knit too much and who willingly sacrifices sleep, family, work, and sanity in order to keep doing it. Covering everything from the deadly “second sock syndrome” to a pile of yarn so big it can hide a washing machine, this hilarious collection will have knitters in stitches!

This is a must-read for any knitter who wonders if he/she is the only one with a yarn stash that never decreases in size or needs to know that others love the craft as much as they do. The book is just like my most recent knitting project - I found every possible free moment to read it until I was done. It gave me a renewed sense of love for knitting. Now, I think I'll go knit a sock (or two).

I read this book every chance I get. She makes you laugh, even if you aren't a knitter.

Simply a collection of observations on knitting correlated with various famous quotes. Amusing, but completely unnecessary. If you're looking for a gift for a knitting reader, it might serve, but honestly, we'd rather have the yarn...

This should be on every knitters Christmas list! It's comprised of Stephanie's life experiences and really interesting facts that even beginning knitters can relate with. I bought a second copy for the friend that taught me how to knit. She was thrilled!

This book is wonderful to pick and read for a bit between your rows. It reinforces that knitting is a passion for almost anyone who picks up the needles, and helps you feel less crazy when you read about how obsessed Stephanie is.

This book is wonderful for not only the knitter, but also for anyone who lives with a knitting addict. The perfect book for the yarn-obsessed.

At Knit's End is funny and quick-witted, like the 'Yarn Harlot' herself. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
