About the Author
Judith was born and brought up in Bishop Auckland, Co. Durham. She worked as a languages lecturer, complementary therapist, and library officer before setting up as a freelance creative writing coach in 2010. Her work has been published in anthologies with Anchor Press, Forward Press and United Press as well as in Leaf Writers' Magazine, Writing Magazine and N.A.W.E.'s Writing in Education Magazine.'The Second Wave' is her first novelette. The story was inspired by an interest in Oriental history and culture,extreme weather events and her father's stroke.A new poetry collection entitled 'From the Land of my Ancestors' (Mudfog Press) is due out next year. Poems in this collection were written following research into family history.
