Great story with full characters that are so wonderfully flawed there was no unnecessary drama or angst simply for plot. Hard to put this a book down.

Brilliant. As is everything you write.

Well I just finished F Love, but man did the stakes get higher with this one. To say that I loved it is an understatement. It is and forever will be one of my favorites, stamped in my heart.

Imagine my excitement when I opened my email and found an eARC of Atheists Who Kneel and Pray in my inbox. I’m such a huge fan of Tarryn’s, so I was very excited to check out her newest work. I honestly didn’t even know about this one until a few weeks ago, but I was instantly draw in by the synopsis and, well, the fact that it was by Tarryn Fisher. Yeah, I’m a fangirl. No shame. As with all of Tarryn’s work, it’s impossible not to get attached to the story and characters right from the first chapter. Though her writing style always takes a bit for me to get used to, I consistently find myself falling for her characters and their lives. Right from the beginning I liked Yara. She wasn’t the easiest character for me to relate to, honestly, but i did feel for her and admired her sense of adventure, willingness to constantly relocate, and her strength upon living her life almost completely on her own. Though I have absolutely nothing in common with Yara, I did find myself drawn to her in a way. That, however, changed as the story progressed, and I found myself disliking her quite a bit. Not in a now-I-hate-this-book kind of way, just that I wasn’t a fan of hers anymore and felt that a lot of the choices she was making were quite selfish. When I come across characters like this, I really yearn for a whole lot of character growth, and I’m happy to say that at least Tarryn delivered in that regard. David, on the other hand, I actually the opposite. When we first meet David, it’s under a somewhat weird circumstance and I can’t say that he made a very good first impression. That having been said though, he did prove himself to me as I flipped pages, and after a pretty short amount of time I was a fan. Go David!! He had such a good heart, and though he wasn’t perfect, he really did mean well. These two together was honestly a tough pill to swallow. I wasn’t sure that I would ever enjoy their relationship… but guess what? I totally did!! The ups and downs, ins and outs of these two was such a roller-coaster, and I quite enjoyed the ride. I also enjoyed how the story played out. I had no idea how this story would turn out at the end, and I did like the way it came about. I have to say the ending felt just a tad rushed, but overall I was happy with how things went down. Another great read from Tarryn! If you haven’t read any of her books yet, I’d strongly recommend you do. As I stated earlier, she has this really interesting writing style that always takes me a bit to get into. But I adore it, and her words always seem to hit pretty hard, and pretty deep. She’s writes the most gorgeous sentences I’ve ever seen. (See Becca’s quotes above. They’re just gorgeous!!) This is one to add to your TBR’s for sure! (Thank you to Tarryn Fisher for the review copy!)

Tarryn Fisher is known to write different, out of the box stories—stories that make you analyze every single word, and stories that you can't forget long after you close the book. Atheists Who Kneel and Pray is no different and quite honestly my favorite TF book to date. If you asked me to compare it to anything out there, you just can't because it's incomparable to none. Tarryn Fisher writes unputdownable book crack and this book gave me HUGE book hangover. Days later, I am still in awe. I was texting with Tarryn when she first told me her idea for this story. Often times I find myself messaging her when I need advice or when I am looking for something inspirational said... she has not let me down once. When she first told me about AWKAP I was excited because to me it was reminiscent to her early days of The Opportunist yet she has grown as a person and as an author so much since then so I knew that it would be even MORE magnificent. Everything you need to know about the book is in the blurb and quite honestly I don't want to reveal too much for you because I truly believe that this is a journey that each should experience on their own because you will all get something from reading this book. You will experience a wide range of emotions when you pick up this book—tears, hurt, angst, nervous heart palpitations, happiness and love. At the end, my heart felt full and I was so very happy with how the story came full circle for the characters. Many will relate to this story because we are all Yara—at times vulnerable, insecure in our relationships, flawed and imperfect...but in the end it is mind blowing, it is perfection, it is EPIC in every way because we grow just as Yara does in this story. The love emits from the pages and will touch your soul in such a beautiful way and it is something you will never, ever forget. Fisher draws readers in on an emotional level beyond compare. AWKAP captures the magic of love, the vulnerability of insecurities, and the power of self-discovery. This book touched my soul, and it's SO hard to move on from Fisher's words. Beautiful and epic in every sense of the word, AWKAP is one of my favorite stories this year. Tarryn's words are religion for our crazy little PLN group and I foresee many new tattoos in our future because the words in this book are just so beautiful *le sigh* So get ready for another amazing story from one of my favorite authors of all time...trust me that this is not one you want to miss.
